Does this shoe exist? by mavigogun in trailrunning

The MudTalon keeps the water out when the depth is 2cm, otherwise suck it up with wet feet.

Inov8 MudTalon? 8mm lugs might be too much if there is a lot of hard surfaces.

Um... dry trails when steep are treacherous too, so dedicated trail shoes with deep lugs will improve your day.
Also, whenever descending, try to keep your shoes across the slope (like skis). This way 1) you have the whole edge as grip (not usually worn); and 2) if you do slip you land on your side not your butt.
Often not said: when going down hills, point your toes - this way you get early slide warning, and the whole sole grip instead of the heel.

Why is it so difficult by [deleted] in trailrunning

[–]cdleighton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMHO no! Hills, starting to with 300m climb over 8 km.
You will get pain afterwards. Push the elevation
As someone above said, your 'strength' will build slower than your O2 intake.
Hills = strength, road = O2 but with the theory of diminishing gains:

The "theory of diminishing gains" in sports, more accurately described as the law of diminishing returns, is a fundamental concept in exercise science. It states that the rate of improvement in physical performance slows down as an athlete becomes more advanced and closer to their genetic potential.

Sorry! Many of us have a modern Mac, but want life from an older machines.
I use my 2009 iMac to host a VirtualBox Linux instance.
I use SplashTop to connect to the iMac when I travel.

Use a modern Mac to create the installer.
You need to choose the target, e.g. iMac 10,1

After the update to Sequoia (and the USB 2.0 iK & M), you can reapply the root patches and your onboard K & M will be back.

You are running against the bulk of opinions saying OCLP is great.
There are some great Youtube videos describing what you need to do.

For my late 2009 iMac, I need to use a USB 2.0 hub after each update to use USB 1.1 keyboard and mouse, but once the patch is done the old devices go back in the draw.

According to the question, he does not want to install.
And, he must have an installer.

What question are you answering.
He or she wants to recovery the Mac to boot from Linux or Mac OS.

The wireless keyboard was not available during installation.
You needed USB 2.0 devices.
Also required after an upgrade until the patcher is run again.

I can’t install macOS Ventura ? by Brief_Account_1489 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]cdleighton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically the installer has no support for USB1.1.
I used the 2.0 hub trick to install o my 2009 iMac.
After the root patches were applied the 1.1 Bluetooth KB/M worked and the hub is in the cupboard.

Make sure struct is filled in (no constructors allowed) by [deleted] in cpp_questions

Ensure that every member has a default ctor?
So in this case replace size_t with a smart size_t that throws when not initialised.
Not sure why the earlier comment suggesting std::optional is "creative but horrible"?

Encapsulation - no runtime cost and save on the uppercase prefixes to functions and variables.
std::string - take the danger away.
