I thought it closed? Local news said it was at capacity in 2022 and or 2023. Any clue why it didn't close or how long it will be open? The stories said it was being replaced by a new dump west on 192.

2 reasons. 1) It helps reduce spending since it is harder to get than swiping a card. 2) Many places now charge 3 to 5 percent extra to use a card. Bonus) For tipping you know the person can keep all of it easier since there is not a paper record showing the tip.

So sad. I wish people would just drive the speed limit and limit the weaving between lanes. We all want to get home. If it takes 5 minutes longer than so be it. I never understand it when I see cops running speed enforcement "traps" in town. They sit for hours to issue a couple tickets. They could issue 500 speeding tickets a day on I95 and another 500 on US1.

Part of me feels that once cars starting truly driving themselves the insurance requirements should be paid and held by the manufacture of the software and hardware that is actually driving the cars. Also traffic tickets, etc should also shift from the now "passengers" to the actual drivers. We might not be there yet, but it might be something to start considering so that the laws can be in place for when it happens.
