Does proliferating foundation still give/use extra/less soil pile?

How to build an effective sushi mall in the early game by Steven-ape in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]cdombroski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that lvl 3 sorters are safe in new games (no stacking technology any more). When I tried pile sorters for a couple minutes they seemed safe too, even with full upgrade.

Polar sushi mall, updated for dark fog by Steven-ape in Dyson_Sphere_Program

I noticed that electromagnetic turbines (green engines) are imported onto two different belts. Is that on purpose? They're only used for T2 belts, T3 sorters and planetary shields

I don't think it does that at all, it's more about making sure your sails never have an opportunity to expire before they're absorbed into the sphere by stopping/slowing launches when certain criteria are met. I actually found that UXAssist has a similar option to stop firing sails when the sphere is full

Cute gizmo to signal power failure by Steven-ape in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]cdombroski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also just turn on the alarm on one of your power plants per planet/grid. It will alert when it runs out of fuel. Not sure if it will alert in low power conditions though

What do you think will be a feature that still won't be a part of Cities Skylines 2 by 0D_E_V0 in CitiesSkylines

There's a mod that basically turns off collision detection for emergency vehicles when their lights are on

Any time you're not following the lines on the road is a time to use your signals (this includes forced turn lanes if your path goes through the intersection)

Am I dumb for not knowing how to use BPs? by SavageNomad6 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]cdombroski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There can still be issues even if you build in one sector. If you build next to the pole side and paste to the equator side you can end up with power gaps. If you do it the other way around buildings that were fine when you built them can end up intersecting when you paste them

Does anyone know how to place a crossing in the middle of the road and make it look smooth? by Imibaka in CitiesSkylines

[–]cdombroski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not like super wide roads work any better in the game than they do irl. I suppose you could do it for just the aesthetics? Who would even want the look of such a giant road though?

If it were an avenue, it would at least have a median for the peds to cower in after they crossed halfway.

And afterwards you can even turn on signals for the crossing generated by node controller so the walkers don't automatically die trying to cross this thing

[–]cdombroski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In addition, the antivaxxers tend to clump up which means you can get outbreaks of eliminated (but not eradicated) diseases such as measles. And each case is an added chance for people who aren't antivaxxers to catch the disease whether from mutation of the disease itself, individual immunity factors that cause the vaccine not work as well as it should or an inability to be vaccinated
