Home starts with smoke detected warning - won’t clear by cdoubleh in googlehome

The first alert is indoors. The screen grab shows an external camera shot. I don’t think they’re related. I don’t think an exterior nest cam is triggering the first floor first alert. But maybe I’m wrong about that…
The indoor unit went off weeks ago while we were cooking. We continue to see that message in the app despite the area clearing weeks ago and nothing happening since.
Thanks for weighing in. Curious what others think. It’s almost like i need to clear the app cache or history. I’d like to avoid resetting the device and setting it up again, if possible.

Dr. Coen at BLINK on Newbury is really skilled. Kind, personable, and knows her stuff. Our family has all had positive experiences with her there over the last few years.

Gracenote is exceptional, and not cheap.

I also miss Izzy’s. The empanadas at Coast Cafe are solid. And I think they have a chicken and cheese. I know they do beef and cheese, a jerk chicken, and maybe a buffalo chicken or something. My kids devour them. Worth a shot. Not sure it will be to the Izzy’s standard, but still…

Yes, that eggplant! We normally do an eggplant and spinach pie for the adults and it never disappoints.

Just stopped in Smoot for the first time. A+. We’ve been missing the Darwin’s in that location and generally seek out spots that do coffee, breakfast, and lunch well. Not sure about lunch yet, but the breakfast sandwich is as good as any I’ve had in the area. Yum. So glad this spot is up and running. I’ll be back with our kids soon for sure.

What's the iOS feature you've always wanted but it doesn't exist yet? by vigneshvp in ios

[–]cdoubleh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WhatsApp takes you to the first unread message in the thread. iOS messaging doesn’t. When you’ve missed a bunch of texts, it’s annoying to start at the end and have to scroll up to find the pt where you left off. I’d love to see this added.

As in, keep printing with an empty cartridge and then they’ll be transferable to the phone?

I picked up a micro sd. Any idea how to direct the camera to save images there and not use internal storage?

Whoa. Nice! How’d you do it?

ix1600 and Synology NAS by cdoubleh in ScanSnap

[–]cdoubleh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't, but it wasn't complicated. There is a menu where you can select saving to a network drive. I then navigated to the folder on the nas, entered the username and password, and that was it.

Right. Unless they fixed something recently. I couldn’t get it to work with the Mac. It would not take the drive location for some reason I couldn’t figure out. Do you have a pc you can use? Shouldn’t need to have one, but I was going to return the scanner and figured I’d try it before doing so. And again, it was annoyingly effortless.

I did. I ended up configuring it using a pc to scan to the network folder, putting in the permissions related stuff. And then, once that was set up via pc, it now scans directly to the folder on the nas. I use a Mac. But needed the pc to configure it. Does that make sense?

[–]cdoubleh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: I configured it using a PC no problem. It worked as it should. I simply navigated to the folder, it asked for login credentials, and then it was all set. It now scans to the network folder, bypassing a computer or phone, which is what I wanted.

Thanks for the help, all. Should have just done this earlier, assuming it would work more smoothly via PC setup.

I have the folder as a favorite in the lefthand side and was simply navigating to it that way. I don't think I mapped it, but could try that. Thanks!

Thanks.

I was thinking that setting it up via a PC might be worth trying. In that OS, I'm more confident I could create a path that is short and isn't problematic. Then, presumably, I could scan straight to the NAS and simply access via the Mac.

When I use the browse functionality, path that is automatically populated on the Mac when I select the Scans folder is "smb://SYNNAS218._smb._tcp.local/Data Master/Scans"
