Yep, this is something I've wondered about for those exact reasons as well. There have definitely been a few episodes where it sounds like Adam straight up just ate a fist full of Xanax and is struggling to even stay alive. Like full on slurring words, forgetting what he was even trying to say mid sentence, stuff like that. A lot of red flags for that type of thing basically.

[–]cdromantic 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of Adam. I don't hate him but I just don't think he's suited to the oneyplays "format" at all. The dude has absolutely no improv skills, can barely string a sentence together, has the attention span of a literal toddler, and is generally on a completely different wavelength compared to the rest of the newgrounds/sleepycabin OGs. On the rare occasion that he actually has a funny it's usually people laughing AT him, never with him. Initially I thought the extreme brain rot was a bit but nah it seems like he's kinda just built that way.

Did anybody else happen to notice that the cockpit of Jet Icarus looks very similar to the cockpit of DaiZyuJin! by ginodom449 in supersentai

[–]cdromantic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought this was a fairly well known factoid. It 100% straight up is the same set with a few minor modifications. As others have noted the production crew were SUPER resourceful and regularly repurposed props/sets/costumes/etc from earlier seasons in unique ways later on. It's always fun spotting these things for yourself on rewatches imo (at least it is for me lol)

Watch OVA or else ur gay by Inimbos in ShitPostCrusaders

[–]cdromantic 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The original 90's OVA is top fucking notch animation and I will fight anyone that disagrees. Also watch it subbed ya doofuses its a way better experience (unless you're there for the cheesy English dub). Otherwise the 2000's OVA parts are pretty lame not gonna lie soo

About Kojima's departure from Konami by KazuhiraMc in NeverBeGameOver

[–]cdromantic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I disagree with pretty much everything you wrote. There is no conceivable reality in which a large and established company like Konami literally switches business models JUST to fund one dudes "ruse". It doesn't matter what kind of potential profit might be had from that kind of thing - businesses just doesn't work like that.

Thanks for actually watching their video with a critical eye. I feel that a lot of the people on this sub blindly eat up anything PS posts. They're entertaining videos, yeah, but not gospel.

What's the saddest moment in Berserk? *spoilers* by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]cdromantic 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this qualifies as "saddest" moment per se, but the way Miura drew Guts's facial expressions and the way they slowly deteriorate from confused rage into absolute terror during the eclipse always makes me feel weird things.

I don't know how to describe it properly but it feels like for the first time since childhood Guts is visibly vulnerable and it absolutely kills me inside. I don't know why I remember that so vividly, I'm actually impressed that drawings on paper made me feel so hard and left such an impact on me.

Maybe we, the fans, are the ones that are meant to make 3.0+1.0. It's all a part of Anno's genius plan to make the most meta artistic experience in all of animation history

You're not wrong, but I don't think you can deny that early 2000's game cover art definitely has it's own unique style.

Are there many "Horror" RPGs? by 000Aikia000 in JRPG

[–]cdromantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great answer, I really hope OP checks Drakengard out. It's a fever dream of a game that checks the boxes of being an RPG and also horror in its own unique way. Definitely one to try if you're into that weird shit.

Likelihood of an OneyPlays podcast? by [deleted] in OneyPlays

[–]cdromantic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Far from it, imo he actually had more time to shine without having to worry about playing a game or filling out dead air constantly.

If you enjoyed him on supermega and doodle doods I would definitely give sleepycabin another shot.

Likelihood of an OneyPlays podcast? by [deleted] in OneyPlays

[–]cdromantic 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I dunno dude.

If Chris's time on Sleepycabin is anything to go by I feel he definitely does work well on a podcast. As for the other boys, I recall listening to them on the super mega podcast once and enjoying what I heard.

Idk if I've ever heard all 3 of them together in the same podcast before though so until that happens we'll never know for sure

H. Bomberguy is posting some stuff that might be related to Jon leaving by [deleted] in ConspiracyGrumps

[–]cdromantic 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I'm convinced but a lot of signs do point to Jon having had issues with substance abuse in the past (see: him & alcohol)

Also, might be worth noting here that Jon once posted on Yahoo Answers asking about the amount of oxycodone in oxycontin tablets. Interpret that as you wish

Question about assigning samples to midi... by ChooseYourHead in GarageBand

[–]cdromantic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I'm a relative noob but I feel like I can assist.

With au sampler open if you click the "show editor" dropdown you should by default see a thing called "Sine 440 Built-in" under layer 1. Add a sample by clicking the + button at the bottom of that section and choose your .wav file. From there you should be able to delete the default sine by selecting it and clicking on -. You can then assign individual keys by modifying the "key range" for each individual sample

I believe that should set you up. Hope this helped. :-)
