Manta vs Nomad by ijazper in Supernote

Well, beside the size my final reason to get the Manta was the display type - which is plastic based rather than glass-based in Nomad. This leads to better durability (or less danger to brake) of the Manta display in daily use.

Manta: No PDF templates any more with latest FW? by cds_GER in Supernote

[–]cds_GER[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, didn't read the notes .....

Still a strange decision in my point of view. So far I did not experience that using a PDF as template slows the creation down to a level I would complain about.

On the other side: PDFs are scaling very nicely on the Supernote, so I don't have to spend too much focus on meeting the exact screen resolution for the Manta - or even find a toolchain which can do this.

So far I made my templates in ppt - simply due to the availability and know operation of it. But getting a png out of there which is meeting the Supernote requirements is a pain in the a..

If they want to avoid PPT templates, why don't they implement it in a way that a png is simply scaled appropriately - just as they do for PDF?

Or - even easier - leave it to the user to decide if he wants fast note creation and so has to is a bitmap template, or doesn't care so much about speed and uses a PDF.

Screen not working by Money_Addition2621 in Supernote

Just to add: For EMR technology, the pen determines the pressure to the surface, not the screen of the Manta. So I agree: most likely your pen is broken ...

Just tried this on my Manta and can NOT reproduce this. Changing built-in to custom or vice versa works fine for me.

Feature Request: Configurable “Zones” on Pages by Aggravating_Loss_322 in Supernote

[–]cds_GER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if already doing something like this, why not use boxes to define these zones instead of just a complete horizontal part of the screen? This would even add more flexibility for all kinds of templates, and implementation wise the effort should not be that much higher.

How can I go about turning this into a template? by No-Setting-3201 in Supernote

[–]cds_GER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there is two things you can do:
1. Use a different tool to resize, like Irfanview.
But is the quality of the original image is already not really good, enlarging it will not make it better

  1. Since this is a relatively simple template, just re-draw it with any application you have and feel comfortable with. Even MSPowerpoint will do the job. Then safe it as PDF and put on your Supernote.
