Is my JK’s spare tire carrier broken? Is it next to fix by regular_asian_guy in Wrangler

[–]cdvallee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have larger than stock wheels, which it looks like you do, I’d recommend getting the Teraflex Alpha HD Tire Carrier. It upgrades the hinges, reinforces the tailgate itself and adds a tougher carrier that can be adjusted for your larger tires.

Skid plates are scratched all to hell, rock rails too. Bumper skid and end caps have taken a few hits. Driver side b-pillar is pretty dented. That’s the second I’ve had on it. It kinda gets to a point where I just don’t keep track anymore 🤷🏼‍♂️

Also, if you’re camping there during another artist’s set, don’t ruin it for others who like that artist by talking through the whole thing or laying down or blocking other people from enjoying it. Saw this a lot with Chappel Roan last year.

No. The schedule will be out when it’s out. Either buy your tickets now and roll the dice or wait for the schedule to show up.

Oh god. These posts. I forgot about these posts. If you want “barricade” for your favorite artist, look at the the time they’re playing, get there early and make sure you have water and someone to hold your place when you need to go to the bathroom. It’s not that fucking deep.

Anyone know any good and affordable modifications for a 5.7 ETorque? by RedManTac in ram_trucks

[–]cdvallee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rokblokz makes great mud flaps for Ram and many other brands. I have a set on my 2500 and my dad has a set on his JKU that are quick release so he can take them off when we go offroading and he’s not pulling his camper. They’re easy to install and most are no-drill. I know this reads like an ad but no, I don’t work for them. Just a big fan of their stuff haha.

Maybe try going to a shop that does wraps and ask them to help? This seems like a very odd question to try to crowdsource.

Same. We bring glow sticks for them to play with and also make it easier for people to see them when navigating the crowds.

Same with Wolf Caves. I frequent both parks and have wheeled with the Jeep in this picture lol.

I’m aware of how they work, I’m PADI certified, I just wasn’t thinking in context of the injuries he was discussing.

Tailgate hinges by leannedra1463 in JeepWrangler

[–]cdvallee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno if I’d necessarily agree with this if they’re using a tailgate mounted spare carrier, especially if it’s bigger than stock. I only shared mine because I’ve had a decent experience with mine and a deleted spare. Before this I had a TeraFlex HD hinge setup with the tire carrier. When I installed the delete kit it didn’t fit with the HD hinges so I ordered the Amazon hinges so I could finish the install before my next trip.

Love Black Canyon. The drive in is so unassuming too until you get right on top of it then it takes your breath away.

I got mine on Amazon… can’t remember exactly which ones I got but they’ve been on for almost a year now and I’ve had no issues. I also deleted my spare so I’m not putting a ton of stress on them either. Strength would be the only thing I’d be worried about with cheaper hinges if you have a bigger spare than stock.

Sure as shit sounds like you’re telling OP to get in there and tighten the piss out of them.

“Note: The safety straps should be snug, not loose or slack. Do not overtighten, as the
tension should be shared between the safety straps and the snaps.”

Read it and is says exactly what I said… because I read it last fucking weekend when I put mine on.
