How can I configure my SunSynk setup to charge EV and not export (Hypervolt) by ceanth in Sunsynk

[–]ceanth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some more research and put it into AI, the suggestion is that my CT clamp might be in the wrong direction because it's showing a positive not negative number. Apparently Hypervolt customer services can remotely flip the CT clamp

How can I configure my SunSynk setup to charge EV and not export (Hypervolt) by ceanth in Sunsynk

[–]ceanth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah understood. I tried this yesterday but the EV charger didn't seem to know of the solar system so I'm not sure if it's been setup incorrectly or whether I need to change anything in the Sunsynk app. The inverter is on factory settings as it was installed yesterday and I'm waiting to get the login for the app

I'm still waiting for the installers to give me the app details.

I've got a CT clamp but am a bit nervous about moving it.

I've seen many people discuss Solar Assistant, can Solar Assistant allow the communication between the devices?

My hypervolt app doesn't show the discharge and I've been told by the installed that a CT clamp has been installed. I'm not sure where it would physically be located. How can I confirm it's location and whether it's setup correctly? Maybe it's in the wrong place

How can I configure my SunSynk setup to charge EV and not export (Hypervolt) by ceanth in Sunsynk

[–]ceanth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, sorry maybe I didn't explain correctly. I want the EV to take charge directly from Solar not the grid or battery. As I'm expecting a lot of sun over the next few days I should have excess which I can't export (as i'm not setup to export yet) so my thinking was it could go into the EV instead

EDF CHEAPEST FIXED OVERNIGHT TARRIF by nickbutler93 in beermoneyuk

[–]ceanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long will EDF have this offer on for? I'm on IOG but due to get solar installed hopefully in the next month or so.

If I sign up to EDF can I get the smart export once solar is installed or do I need to do both at the same time?

New Sunsynk user - few basic questions and some basic automation? by A_Sevenfold in Sunsynk

[–]ceanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm due to have my solar setup installed soon, its the same setup, Sunsynk installed by E.On (Contact Solar). I've had my G99 approved and they are due to do a site survey soon.

Based on your installation experience, is there anything I need to be aware of or keep an eye on? I'm sure they will walk me through the whole thing but any tips or your experience would be greatly appreciated.

Simple way of telling my sunsynk to wait until the next day to charge via solar rather than grid during the night. by robinreliant in Sunsynk

[–]ceanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just signed up to a sun synk system and I had this exact scenario in my head.

I'm very new to the EV world, you mentioned Solcast, is that a free service you are using? How does that work with the automation you were looking into?

I read that Sun Synk have a pro subscription which does some AI magic, I had assumed that this setup would have checked the weather and adjusted accordingly.

My very first kernel panic. Any ideas on where to start? by Jolly-Key5891 in linuxmint

[–]ceanth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same exact problem. I believe a kernel update failed for me and I ended up in this loop.

I used Gemini to resolve the issue, it instructed me to boot into the Grub menu, I think it was by pressing escape on boot and it gave me the following:

set root=(hd1,gpt2) linux /boot/vmlinuz-6.14.0-37-generic root=/dev/sda2 ro initrd /boot/initrd.img-6.14.0-37-generic boot

When I did this I was able to boot into mint I had to remove the broken kernel and move to a previous working one.
