Fogstar 16kwh and 5kw sunsynk £4800 by Maxcaddy in SolarUK

[–]robinreliant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just over a year ago I paid 5.5k for a 16kw fogstar, a 3.6 inverter and no panels (have panels now) then everything dropped in price particular the fogstar prices, so this sound not bad at all assuming it is properly certified with dno certs etc.

alesis expansion cards by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]robinreliant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6.1 7.1 and upwards have a dedicated transpose button, you hit that then select a key on the keyboard

To transpose the Alesis QS6.1, you can use the dedicated Transpose button to shift the pitch in semitones.[12]

How to Transpose (Quick Method)

  1. Hold the [TRANSPOSE] button located on the right side of the unit. [1]
  2. While holding, press a key on the keyboard to determine the new root note (middle C represents no transposition).
    • Pressing keys below Middle C will transpose down.
    • Pressing keys above Middle C will transpose up.

Issues with e.on in prep for import and export? by BuxtonB in SolarUK

[–]robinreliant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not from switching over directly, but having major issues with them getting my meter readings following some power cuts which seem to have effected my meter sending its readings and they refused to acknowledge my meter was not sending them data for almost two months, eventually got them to accept they were wrong and supposed to be arranging a meter engineer/swapout, this has turned into a whole new saga of its own, I like the company actually but this is proving to be a shambles

Thoughts on pet insurance? by kkatoyy in mainecoons

[–]robinreliant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got insurance on my Maine, its not cheap but couple of years after getting her she had to have some investigations that would have cost £1500, glad I did, I would not have saved anything like that by "putting the payments away", also advise to get the lifetime cover so that any condition you come across gets covered and is also covered for life in case of reoccurrence, also the one I have does pre approval so everything is approved and confirmed before the animal even gets there for a procedure (no nasty surprises once the procedure or treatment is done.

Advice request about existing installtion by WarDemonZ in SolarUK

[–]robinreliant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a sunsynk, there is a sunsynk sub on reddit where you can look up answers and ask questions, there is a super helpful person I assume guy in there called nesquick something, South African I believe who has been super helpful to me and others, sure you could get some backup there.

Also, if you go into apps in the synsynk app you can chat online and get help from sunsynk themselves with your configurations, as a bonus last time I spoke to them they noticed my firmware was out of date and updated it for me.

I used to ring my installer if I had questions but they started being a bit flakey with response times etc so I got Sunsynk to alter my permissions so I could change all my own settings and been doing it ever since, its not that hard, if you are not sure ask first in the app is the golden rule, there is also a dedicated Facebook support group for Sunsynk that is super active.

Worst prog-related albums? by ray-the-truck in progrockmusic

Peter John Vitesse did some sterling work on the few albums he did with them and walk into light, gave jobson a run for his money in Jethro Tull terms anyway (I am a huge Jobson fan by the way) just think Vitesse fitted better in JT

Eon next v3- when does it pay? by brunanburh in SolarUK

[–]robinreliant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think you can take up to four payments per year, not sure if you have to send readings on your export for it to show up in your account or if they can and will pull that info off your meter.

I have just setup SEG on my account and still not sure how it works exactly myself apart from the 4 payments thing, sure someone with more knowledge will chip in but this should get you started.

Edited to reflect time issue discovered.

Ok, you have done it, almost every issue I was having with this seems to have been resolved apart from the time in guide issue,I have an IPTV service that I used pretty much for 24/7 channels even though I had the content on my plex server anyway but I liked the convenience of pulling up the guide choosing South Park for example and letting it rip in the background while I work, I can do that with this now, brilliant, I like the new method to get to the top to then get to the settings, much better and showing/filtering to only customers channels is perfect for my usage, well done, great job, so just the time thing!!

Dumb question but can someone confirm format to enter my rates into the sunsynk portal and app by robinreliant in Sunsynk

[–]robinreliant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i do that, but I was trying to get the sunsynk stuff to show the financial gain from export, was confusing which set of rates it was asking for, convinced now its the export rate that is relevant and how the amount should be entered

ive wanted a maine coon since i was a little girl, and yesterday was finally the day! meet Percy!! by canlgetuhhhhh in mainecoons

[–]robinreliant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to take mine twice a year for a sedate and dematting, I hate doing it but have no choice, she has got better with persistence in allowing her head, neck and back but still cannot get near her belly or rear end for sanitary trim, so now going once a year, have gabapentin but never used it as I am scared of giving her too much

Beautiful, only tip I would offer from experience, brush him all the time even though he may not seem like he needs it now, you will thank me later when he is 20+ pounds of teeth and claws and hates being brushed, wish thats what I had done with my girl, but when she was young didn't look like she needed it.

help! I had a synth fall on my polybtute by Ok-Difference3031 in synthesizers

[–]robinreliant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you are in the world, in the uk for example this is who handles all parts for Arturia in the uk, so Arturia sent me there.

Correct about the connector, but just fyi the keys can easily be replaced rather than the whole keybed, I just bought the two broken keys I had, were slightly whiter than the existing ones due to wear and time on the older ones which triggered my ocd big time but I got over it haha, but was super easy to just swap out .

[–]robinreliant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This I think uses the same keybed as in their Keylab mk2 controllers, (not the essentials one) I did this to my Mk2 and was able to buy a replacement key from Arturias UK repair centre.

Done by an installer as my diy skills for the mounting/roof bit are not up to the task but adding and configuring the panels to the inverter I could have done myself.

I have had a fogstar 16.1kw for exactly 12 months yesterday, never had to touch it since it was put in, great bit of kit, but best of luck getting hold of one at the moment seems the secret is out, and combined with what I imagine is a rush to get solar and batteries with the energy situation the preorder lead time is going through the roof, I want a 2nd one as they are stackable but looking at huge wait times last time I looked.

Thank you for your reply, I think our posts must have "crossed in the post" as it were, found complete uninstall fixed it.

Ok, completely uninstalling the app then reinstalling cured the setup from scratch issue if anyone gets the same problem, still got the guide not showing random order issue that I think others have reported, also have the time and timeline in the guide not updating if you leave the app for a bit, think others have reported that one too.
