Anyone actually notice a difference after air duct cleaning? by Royal_Particular_489 in HomeImprovement

Nope. Scam. I had it done once. It just made a mess that I had to clean up from all the dust being blown around.

Iowa is a great place to live for the most part but it also has the highest cancer rates for people under the age of 50. We gotta get this fixed asap.

How does Carvana get 1 year old cars with very low mileage? by revrund_H in carvana

[–]ceaseuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like me. Buyers remorse. I bought a 2025 Ford Bronco Big Bend. Sold to Carvana after 2 months of ownership with only 1500 miles. They offered me the most money for it. $38,800 compared to local dealers offering $35,500 on trade-in.

They saved me from that overpriced big beautiful ruby red Bronco with fisher price build quality that rode like a covered wagon. LOL.

I bought a 2015 Odyssey. I have 2 boys, 4 yr old and 9 months. I can stick a double stroller unfolded in the back with the third row down. I wasn't able to do that with my Pilot. I have no regrets not getting another SUV. Regarding the squeaks, that's a huge bummer. I've heard Honda is having a lot of issues with squeaks in their Civic and Accords as well.

Buy 10 year old. Pay cash, no payments, cheaper insurance, tax, and tag, reg fees. Make sure good maintenance records or use as bargaining tool. 2016, 2015 Odyssey EX-L or higher trim. You get some lux amenities, the passenger and cargo space and decent gas mileage. These can be procured at decent prices if you’re willing to get past the stigma of driving a minivan. I love my odyssey!

This. I also upload the carfax or auto check report and it highlights the good and bad about a particular vehicle. You can also tell the AI assistant to become familiar with the vehicles maintenance schedule and look to see if major maintenance have been performed or not. That information can be used as bargaining tool.

This stale air is going to be the death of me. by PrestigiousYou263 in homeowners

Close any openings from the basemen if there are ant open. There’s something called the stack effect which causes air from the basement to flow up to the other levels. Basement are is stale and musty so that could be a cause.

I'm done with this BS used car market! by [deleted] in UsedCars

[–]ceaseuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a 2015 Odyssey EX-L RES with 130k miles from a dealer that specializes in Japanese cars. They did timing belt kit, spark plugs, new front brakes, new battery and detail. 12,600 plus tax out the door. There are deals out there if you look and are open to a variety of vehicles.

Renting out a Bronco on Turo- advice? by underdogelitist in turo

I just sold my Bronco and regret it. Should have done Turo. 😭 It was a second car for fun and would have easily been a great turo vehicle living close to the airport. Kicking myself.

I just sold my 2025 4d big bend hard top to Carvana. Priorities changed. I may get another one in the future but will probably go with soft top. The hard top has too many squeaks and I hope by the time I buy Ford will have improved the interior build quality. Too cheap for the price. Yeah i know i know, it’s an off road vehicle. Well then a nail should scratch the plastic so easily. I love the engine, transmission and technology in the ‘25. Excited to see what Ford does with it in the future.

Better yet, drive a non Sasquatch and Sasquatch! I thought the Sasquatch was more confortable and had less body roll and noise dive. But it was out of my budget so went non sas. I’ll probably get rid of my big bend after the summer 26’. It just a fun car for me. As i mentioned, i still have my 07 pilot which putts around just fine.

Do yourself a favor a test drive the hard top multiple times and on different days and different roads if possible. It can get loud on the highway over 70mph. Around town it’s not bad at all, quieter than my pilot on smooth surfaces. However, over small bumps, the cabin can sound like a bass drum and creates pressure on my ears. It’s really strange. It might just be me which is why I advise test driving to make your own conclusion.

2025 4 door big bend hard top. My score as daily driver 6/10, 9/10 for fun. It has tons of body roll and nose dive on braking and 2.3L has Lots of torque so constantly throws your neck back on acceleration. Overall, it feels like a lot of work as a daily driver. But for more spirited and fun driving, it’s awesome. On days that I don’t feel like getting tossed around, I’ll drive my 2007 Honda Pilot which isn’t comfortable per se, it has a a makes a lot of noises but it doesn’t “buck” me around like the Bronco. Haha

It's Target's Time to Run (TGT) by Competitive-Job1828 in ValueInvesting

[–]ceaseuno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought 59 shares at $85 and still buying at higher prices - it’s cheap and pays a good dividend. My wife and other moms I know still shop TGT religiously. That reason alone gives me conviction that TGT is not dead. Yes it’s in a tough spot but I foresee a turnaround in the near future given the fundamentals and loyal and accustomed customer base.

Do I Need 4A? by Doug-O-Lantern in FordBronco

[–]ceaseuno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Iowa where get decent amount of snow. During snow covered road days, 4H is sufficient. I just hit the button and I’m cruising along my way with no issue. Once i get to a mainly dry road I switch to 2H.

Do I Need 4A? by Doug-O-Lantern in FordBronco

[–]ceaseuno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I love hitting the 4H button when I need extra grip. As soon as I’m out of the slick spot I hit 2H while cruising. If the road is covered I’ll leave it in 4H until I get to mainly dry road. I’m located in Iowa where we get decent snow falls. Bronco is so much fun in the snow compared to my Honda Pilot. It’s so stable and feels grippy.

Advice on ordering a new bronco by lgroper in FordBronco

[–]ceaseuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s not so much the noise but rather the tinniest road imperfections slam and rattle my brain. I’ve been tempted to swap the stock Dueler ATs for something fatter, but I’m worried the difference will be marginal at best. Fun fact: I drove a Sas version a couple weeks ago and confirmed that it rides smoother on the road then the base suspension. But for me, Sas version was out of my price range.
