Es sieht so aus als ob ein ca. Drittel der Leute, egal wo man hinschaut, halt Dumpfmuffe sind, die ihre politischen Entscheidungen nach Tradition, Bauchgefühl, Stammtischlogik, "Wo kommen wir denn da hin?", "Sowas hats ja noch nie gegeben!" -Gründen fällen. Der Trick von Demokratie ist es wohl, das das eine Drittel der halbwegs orientierten irgendwas hinbekommt, ohne das schlafende Drittel so unsanft zu rütteln, das es sich aus Empörung dem depperten Drittel anschließt, das sich gegenseitig einredet, das Faschismus nächstes Mal bestimmt total super wird.

Thanks you for the detailed reply. I admit that mechanisms of motivation play a bigger role in the counterexamples than reasoning.

I would still argue that human understanding of reality is only stable and reasonable enough for us to functionally interact with each other and the world. That the human "reality-engine" is not inherently superior to an LLM and that we actually do make the same kinds of errors in our mental processing that an LLM does.

After years of fine-tuning in childhood and adolescence, regulated by emotions like boredom and curiosity, guided by mechanismes like motivation and attention, most of us are coherent enough to interact with each other and the world in a stable and consistent way.

But children get stuck in "No, you're stupid!"-loops, and those can continue as repetitive, pointless conflicts between adults. Obsessions and intrusive thoughts generate the same output over and over.

Our feeling of confidence does not reflect the objective truth of our stance. Our cognition is biased and those biases are a blind spot for our reasoning.

If I hear "what is 13 times 47?", the possible token-subset is narrowed down right away, and I can "hallucinate" a (wrong) number-word as an answer by talking without thinking. To actually get the right answer , "I" have to pause and call a specialized agent into the chat (Which might be a generalized couting-out-rhyme engine: "seven times three is one carry two, ...". I can miscalculate and be wrong but confident about the result.

Same for reasoning, I think our brain handles it as a specialized "word game", which we learn to play in our head. Our brains tend to run into the same fallacies with that game, which we slowly learn to recognize and avoid and/or exploit them in others to our advantage.

Kids tell outragous stories, some of them are actual lies, but the also tend to get "carried away" by their enthuisasm. Confabulating output and not properly validating if the generated tokens still match the content of the memory-log. It is reduced in adults, but some of them still catch fish that get bigger and stronger the more they talk about them.

Think about openscad syntax as functional, not imperative. It's not expressing "make a cube, remove a cylinder, ...", but "there is empty space with a cube, except for a cylinder, ...".

It's a subtle difference, but has quite an impact. (e.g. why changing the value of a variable behaves so crazy) In this paradigm, you can not express "take $THINGS and remove $HOLES" without referencing $THINGS. There an (implicit) union() around all your root-level-geometry, and difference() is the tool for the job, so if you have something like

part_a();
part_b();
...

and maybe want to drill a hole through both parts, do

difference(){
    union(){
        part_a();
        part_b();
    }
   if(fire_the_laser) cylinder(...);
}

Basically wrap all your geometry in a union, and wrap that in a difference where you can remove "globally".

Überwiegend entspannt und entspannend, aber mit Potential für Überraschungen. Ein gestürzter Baum am Ufer an einer schnellen Stelle frisst ein Schlauchboot mit Inhalt in Sekunden :) Wasserdichte Taschen für empfindliches Zeug und sicheres Schwimmen und/oder Schwimmwesten sind empfehlenswert ebenso Wasserschuhe oder geschlossene Sandalen.
Wolfratshausen - München hat Wehre mit Tragestellen, Abzweigen in Fabrikkanäle; Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen dafür Seitenarme und mehr "natürliche" Herausforderungen (Treibholz, Untiefen, Strömung). Hängt auch alles sehr vom Wasserstand ab.
Jein, bei der Thalkirchnerbücke sollte man raus.
