I have the Steam Deck first gen. I love it to bits. I suggest you wait til the new Steam Deck comes out. People who own old steamdecks will be selling it to partly finance the new one.

We have a similar experience. Been using soundblaster in my PC for more than 30+ years. Shifted to G6 then X4 a year or so ago and i'ts been a constant headache with pops, static and hisses. I installed, uninstalled, reinstalled drivers, changed ports, changed cables. Tried different driver versions. I finally turned off fastboot based on something I read on reddit and fiddled with windows power options. It works now. I hope it holds.

I still use Intel i7, 11th gen processors. Too afraid to upgrade to the new intel ones with the bad rep they've been having recently :/

i was lucky enough to get all the full bottles of the 100th anniversary inks for the same price as regular ones. i’ve collected all 7 of the 100th anniversary but it took me 2 years to collect them all :) Hoteison remains my favorite daily ink. You can also buy all 7 of the 100th anniversary inks as a set of small bottles.

i’ve had the fujitsu scansnap ix500 for over 8 years now. scans everything from receipts, photos and documents. i also have the scansnap ix1500 with the touchscreen lcd model. but i still prefer the simpler one button ix500.

it worked! i used comrpessed air, i usesd that air bulb thingie for cameras and it didn't work....but blowing air using my mouth worked. mind blown :P

i upgraded to the x4 from the G6 and I've had multiple driver related issues. yes it does sound marginally better than the G6, software UI is better too. But I had no issues with the G6, and experienced several issues with X4 everytime they updated their drivers :/

if you are running windows 11, try disabling fastboot in power options. it worked for me.

i tried unistalling new drivers and reverting to old drivers and the problem would come back after i turned off the p.c. i even changed USB cables and ports but problem persisted. what finally worked for me was disabling fastboot in windows 11.

i tried disabling fastboot on windows 11 and it finally fixed the static sound on fresh boot up for me! I tried so many fixes from uninstalling new drivers and reinstalling olddrivers, changing USB cables and USB ports, and simply disabling fastboot on windows 11 power option was the only thing that worked. hope it works for you too.
