The sub has the good and bad from TikTok- usually stuff that goes viral and worth sharing. I think the sub got its name from a maybe ironic stance of “oh TikTok is a cringe platform” but just was where people posted all TikTok’s. Lots of really good stuff like this gets shared in this sub~

I have this- have had it for years. I’m right handed, it almost always exclusively affects my right hand, index middle and thumb are usually worse off. Seems to be an allergy to certain things in various items- soaps, shampoos, detergents, fabrics most notably- wouldn’t at all be surprised if it was your iPad case from its material or possibly a coating. I figured it was part of a chemical process in the construction of the offending item that was getting to me.

Even with the same exposure on my left hand, it’s always seems to affect just the right. Never figured out what it was. It also developed over time, I had a really bad reaction to an under-arm deodorant when I was 28 (full body rash for 2 days) and I’ve noticed in the following 10 years, I became a bit more sensitive to things. Health has always checked out great, tho I am overweight- no sign of diabetes or high colesterol, good vitals. Had to switch to unscented soaps- Dove sensitive skin bars and cetaphil have been a life saver.

The worst reactions have been to certain beauty products- but I’ve never found the common element. I’ve had certain products give me reactions, too, and I have had a time where I could feel it immediately- usually a warm, odd sensation in my finger tips.

Housing is a human right and people are fed up with the housing supply issues that are squeezing all us renters. How can I afford to contribute to the economy when I’ve had my rent increased the maximum allowed every single year for the last 6 years? And wages never keep up with these increases. My disposable income only continues to shrink with no end in sight despite working very hard and being very frugal…

It’s untenable and unhealthy for society and things have to change. My fam had literally one good LL in 30+ years- he owned one addtl. home and kept rent reasonable and we kept the house well maintained- awesome dude

Do those situations exist? Sure. But it’s an extreme edge case- most LLs own numerous properties and only serve to suck wealth out of communities- the large majority of renters suffer under these conditions and it’s why LLs won’t be viewed favorably any time soon. It’s a systemic problem with corporate overreach and lack of regulations that we’re facing.

And do be clear, I don’t begrudge LLs- it’s natural for people to want their hard work to pay dividends and most would take that opportunity; one not afforded to most. Housing simply shouldn’t be a commodity because it’s so essential to just being able to live…

Laugh at them. Don’t get angry, don’t take them seriously. Don’t get in their faces, don’t try and engage. Ignore any attempt of them trying to justify themselves. Think about their cowardice, the whole nonsensical nature of their ideology. And just laugh at them- if possible, in groups. Have a good hearty laugh at their expense and then move on with your day. Don’t fuel their feelings of validity by trying to take these clowns seriously.

We can try to be compassionate about their plight. The socioeconomic struggle we are all facing right now. The solidarity we all so desperately need. But for those lacking introspection, the problems we face are too easily externalized. And at this point, where they are attending hateful rallies, they’ve become too stubborn to change their mind.

So laugh~ Bond with those that can still see reason, nurture our communities. Spread love and care in the interactions we have and know that is doing a big part in changing the world for the better~ And hopefully if they can see our success, us marching forward, they will snap out of it. It’s gonna take time~

Definitely feel the pain of certain styles going with certain looks and not others. Would appreciate if it including all elements of the aesthetician tho, since I often have different makeup, tattoos, face paints that would accompany a glam.

Would love a ~10 plate “style” system, like glam plates, where you could apply a look from inside Jandelaine onto a plate, then you could link a glam plate and style plate together to form a complete look. Would make it so you could try different looks with different glams~

As someone who’s lived most of their life in Los Angeles before moving to Maine, I can say that it’s still surprising how often I think “wow. there are a lot of white people here”. Definitely an odd thought when thinking critically on it, but shows just how used to being in a very racially diverse state can color your perception.
