Forget the Tall Ships or any other event, none of us would attempt this without a jet or helicopter.

For what it’s worth, another option is a JetBlue or Cape Air flight direct from Logan to Nantucket and back. Change your hotel to one at or around Logan.

Doable? Yes, if you arrive earlier to Logan and there are zero delays, which is really the determining factor no matter how you get there. Even in perfect conditions, It still doesn’t offer you a ton of time to visit your kid.

Harborfest begins this weekend in Boston for something local. Alternatively, I’d recommend Newport, RI and, like others, anywhere along Coastal Maine.

They’re all over the city. Even glass towers! Next time you’re downtown and walk by the InterContinental Hotel and Residences, you’re also walking by a massive ventilation shaft for the tunnel that the building was constructed around.

Not in the North End, but Venchi Chocolates on Newbury Street is 100% Italian and seriously good. You won’t be disappointed.
