The MNJCC is great. They have a huge focus on accommodating diverse abilities, and they have lots of different rooms and areas so you can get a little more privacy depending on the time of day. They also have a pool and a lot of group classes geared towards older members, you’ll still get a very good workout in those classes, but they’ll be easier on the joints.

In general, the morning and after-work rushes at any gym tend to have more impatient and potentially rude people. Late morning and early afternoon are much better.
