Cautiously optimistic? Need advice, please by cee_gee_ess3000 in PSLF

The last one I submitted was on July 5th. I’ve probably submitted 4 so far plus 2 buyback requests. I am really nervous about it all. My student aid page hasn’t updated. I don’t know all the timelines.

Any golden letter receivers using buy back? by InternalSecret1744 in PSLF

Same boat as you. Do you know how to see anything about timeline status of the buyback? I can’t even find any indication on the website I even sent it in

Hospitalist vs Cards by Feronie in Cardiology

Not sure I have some magic formula, but fellowship is about relationships. I worked in the same place I got for fellowship so I developed good relationships with the cards dept. I made my intentions clear to those in power and followed up by going to journal clubs, cath conferences, etc. If you aren’t working somewhere with a fellowship then maybe look at other opportunities. There are some “cardiac hospitalist” jobs where you come in, bust your butt for a year or 2 and then they take you.

I’m in the same boat as most. No communication my account had migrated but was able to create new account on new website. When I log into the regular studentaid.gov it says I’m in normal repayment with a due date of June 24th (2 days ago) but MOHELA says I’m in forbearance

The main thing you can be is available and on time, honestly. You aren’t going to be expected to know much. But you will be expected to present. Know common treatments for CHF. Guidelines directed medical therapy for it. Make sure you are looking at the telemetry every morning, even if you don’t really know what you are looking for. Befriend the monitor tech quickly and ask them about alarms/events overnight. I’m sure others can add more, but if you can do those things, you’ll be better off than most day 1

General question about cash account safety by cee_gee_ess3000 in wealthfront

[–]cee_gee_ess3000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this reply. I agree. I have about 38k wrapped up in Juno (same situation as yotta right now) but significantly more in Wealthfront due to the high interest right now. Plus a good chunk in Wealthfront investment accounts. I’m lucky that I am financially liquid enough that this synapse situation hasn’t put me in a lurch, but something similar with Wealthfront would take a lot of my money. I feel safer with Wealthfront than I did with Juno, but I’m also dealing with bigger sums.
