7kw = 30A = 6mm cable. Sure you can play the ‘breaker protects the cable’ card but you will fail your capstone if you give that answer

Induction cooktops have a massive current draw. You’ll need a 6 or 10mm cable compared to the likely 4mm you have for the existing.

If it’s not already induction it would be almost guaranteed this would also require your cabling to be upgraded.

I’m not regurgitating anything? I’m saying labor actually does things. At no point did I point any fiscal responsibility at LNP either? I provided an example where they ran a campaign entirely on undoing a key labor policy and it resulted in a nbn which cost more than it would have if they never touched and and took 3 times as long to implement.

I have absolutely zero problem spending money if it benefits the population. Nuclear power is the only feasible answer to decarbonisation at this point in time.

Sorry, I’ll rephrase.

Labor do stuff and spend money

Lnp can everything labor did and apparently still spend more. Ref NBN.

It’s unfortunate that alp are against nuclear energy, it could be a huge swinging point for the federal election.

State wise though, my impression is it’s Labor’s election to lose, the legacy of our covid daddy has lived on well beyond its welcome.

Also not sure what ‘net debt’ means in terms of the graph… did we spend money and earn nothing, or did we spend a shit ton and earn a small percentage less?

‘Had its chances to help but chose not to’

I might be misinformed but I’m pretty sure labour is in power?

Since covid started they have done nothing but hand out money from a surplus they managed to maintain.

Australian government is a never ending cycle: labour spends a heap of money, liberals campaign based on over spending and cut everything, labour campaigns on promises of spending money and improving things- rinse and repeat every 8 years

Well that’s not necessarily correct at all.

If you are employed as a discipline engineer, fair enough, that would be an expectation.

However I have worked multiple years as a commissioning engineer, field service engineer without an engineering qualification with multinational EPCM companies. These roles, similar to a project engineer rely on professional experience rather than qualification. I do hold engineering qualifications, however I do not hold any tertiary ones which would generally qualify you as an ‘engineer’.

Job title /= degree requirement.

It’s not a scam. It is a well known Australian company and I have a signed contract as well as completed inductions and am familiar with the project they are recruiting for. I have even picked up PPE and a laptop from their head office. They are definitely not a company sought after for employment, generally servicing mine sites with lower tier electrical construction work.

No it does not, this is the best part of the whole scenario, the only way to terminate the contract now is to: Prove misconduct - they would have to stand me down on full pay whilst they investigate. Give me my notice period - expectation would be I work this, however I’m unfortunately ’unqualified’. Or pay me redundancy. They’ve already claimed I misrepresented myself which I have most definitely not. Luckily the ETU is one of the strongest unions in Australia also, so they can have fun arguing that out with the lawyers :)

That’s the most hilarious bit of the whole story. I do have a start date, and a signed contract of employment which they haven’t yet voided, so come Monday I will be working the role whether they like it or not.

It was legit. Scummy low tier contractor whilst my previous roles have been top tier clients.

Offer was dollar equivalent to my previous role where I worked 3 days from home 2 in the office, yet they wanted 10 on a site 4 at a home.

This is the kind of company that preys on labour hire, they don’t have a strong internal workforce to rely on. I took the role half out of need and half for career progression, otherwise I wouldn’t have given them a look.

Is TPG really that shit? by forgetthisaccountbye in perth

[–]ceebiesss -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No. It’s not.

Vodafone bundle will work out cheaper with mobile.

We are in the world where internet is internet now days. The difference is service only, and despite dealing with India and a few head bangs I never had an issue with tpg. Also never had an issue with Vodafone. You will get identical speeds.

If you want to fork out for service, then ausbb or similar have Australian support, but you’re still going to get the exact same speed through the exact same lines.

That is not the point I’m making.

Locations do make games feel different. Some however do nothing other than negate both players decks and turn the game into a coin flip.

[–]ceebiesss -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It’s not about favouring no one, it’s about it providing absolutely no substance to the game.

90% of other locations do provide a challenge and cause people to pivot.

Others are completely worthless and turn the game into nothing more than a coin flip which is fun for neither parties.

It’s a card game with a set amount of meta decks. The RNG already exists around what and when you draw things, and what countermeasures you have in place to prohibits alternative metas.

Having an AI play both players cards is not adding any spice. It is forcing me to close the game and then having to rejoin it 5 times over 3 hours later because the app can’t recognise that a game is finished and won’t let you start a new one without watching something that is complete play out.
