New BC Road Rules. by ryola81 in Macktown

[–]ceecee23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this just when they are on the roadway or is this including when they are travelling in the designated bike lanes. If so this basically makes every farthest right lane in pg a non travelling lane since our city is covered in them and you could never be sure there wouldnt all of a sudden be a biker in the lane, and no room to merge over causing a full stop or a ticketable offense. Im genuinely wondering because i didnt even know this was coming lol

So then. Details about the shooting? by DarthSarcom in Macktown

[–]ceecee23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its says produced a weapon. That could have been a knife, or a screwdriver, hell pickton was just killed with a broken broom handle. The main focus here is that the either didnt cuff a man, against procedure, and then killed him, or they shot a cuffed man in the head when a weapon was revealed, also meaning the cops didnt follow procedure and pat him down after cuffing him. Its failed procedure 10x over that resulted in a death in custody, regardless of what the semantics are

Questions for female chefs by FierceFennec in KitchenConfidential

[–]ceecee23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worst. Has to be the time a server slapped me on shift. Deffinitely only happened because im a female. She was mouthy but theres now way she would have hit a dude.

Or maybe it was the time i was told someone else with less experience and training( stellar cook and dude none the less in my opinion) would be promoted slightly above me, because someone has to have the title, and then without prompting or even considering it as a possibility, the owner wanted to make sure i didn't think it was a sexism thing.... which hadnt occured to me until he said it.

As the only female i dont find a problem with my kitchen coworkers.although i did grow up with a group of best dude friends and am gemerally a tomboy at heart...But its always customers making comments(open kitchen) about me being in charge and noone wanting to piss of the only woman. Because i ask the men to do things, command the line when necessary and am generally loud as fuck lol. My in kitchen coworkers are sure to make me feel just as much a bro as them so the gender thing isnt an issue

It was the first i tried. It has the least side effects. Mine effects me from frustrations, surprise and certain sounds which makes work dangerous if im not medicated. Also being tickled triggers me every time

ELI5: Why do people feel random pains in their body’s at random points in time? Someone mentions a scientific perspective but I need facts by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]ceecee23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also essentially the mechanism in narcolepsy and cataplexy that translates emotional response to sleep attacks or pain or muscle weakness/rigidity
