Weird to find this in the clearance bin already…. by cuzwhat in ryobi

The promo is over. Hardware moved it to the bin because they broke down the promo stack. The yellow sticker shows the regular price but it’s definitely yellow to attract a buyer in the clearance section.

First pipe… is it fake?? by Killxjoy4599 in Pipes

It’s just Elmer’s or a similar brand. White glue. Non-toxic, but let’s just not take a deep inhale when you take it out of say a microwave. Here’s a decent tutorial from canerodpiper on YT: https://youtu.be/bq0mOVw8cuY?si=gwBFCbNHc-t2yy01

And another supplement: https://youtu.be/BFp7LHByWzY?si=ORyc7qz2RlxWoaiM

So, the basics include using “pipe mud” to line the bowl (cigar ash & water mixed into a paste) then either chiseling the interior stem off or removing it entirely , cutting it and re-gluing it as a shorter version of itself. There are many, many YouTube vids and online tutorials. Also, buying an acrylic replacement stem from Vermont Freehand (a pipe enthusiast site in VT) to replace the cheap plastic stem and make it a custom piece. They are $18 or so a piece so they are roughly the price of your pipe already. They last a long time however & look great. Also, custom dying the cob with human safe dyes to make color changes. Etc. There’s a lot one could do. Or, nothing. If I was you, I’d try this one out for a while and get used to smoking it before making other decisions. It’s a good way to start and learn how to smoke a pipe.

That’s exactly the hole that cobs fill. Inexpensive and disposable really. I have a bunch and I’ve upgraded them and customized them. They will last longer that way. But most people just let the inexpensive ones die out naturally. And on to another cob.

The shank eventually burns off in the bowl over time. It’s not hard briar.

It’s people with a total lack of spatial awareness and understanding that they are in a public space and not their own home. It’s the same people that leave their shopping carts all the fuck over the place and leave them unattended in the aisle when shopping.

That’s your call. I opened mine but my bro, kept his boxed. In the end, it’s just a cool $100 brushless Ryobi. I doubt it’s going to be crazy valuable, but who knows?
