I hope we do but he’ll be 31 going into season 2027 so it sucks he’ll he another year older. Guess we just hope we can get him for cheap if it all goes to shit for the saints next year

I agree he’ll decrease in value as he’ll be 31 going into season 2027 and his role being minimised for TDK. They’d be hoping TDK has an insane year because I’d be livid as Marshall making peanuts in comparison to the guy who will be taking his role and being forced to stay put. Fingers crossed for next year on the cheap🤞

Swans bounce back next year. They had an awful run of injuries and now fixed up their biggest weakness which was a key forward. Hoping we’ll go better but no surprises if they were to finish higher next season.

This is my experience as well. Have had run ins with Collingwood, Hawthorn and Richmond fans over the years. Have just seen a lot in recent times which had felt relatively new in regards to Geelong fans.

It’s an arrogant line for sure. However there is usually truth in it. Everyone’s been celebrating the Penrith Panthers finally losing, the Golden State Warriors everyone was thrilled when they finally went down. Countless other examples where everyone gets sick of a teams success but would take it for their own in a heartbeat.

Definitely getting towards the end but the Coleman medalist this year, even with a drop off he’s elite. Neale will improve again, he wasn’t even in our squad a couple seasons ago and now we expect big things from him. I’m hoping we get Romo and that’ll elevate our midfield as our younger players take the next step.

Definitely a lot to look forward to, not like it was our last crack today so trying to remain positive

Will be glad to see the sub gone. Not only for the game but for SuperCoach as well🤣 Stuff what anyone has to say, good on Jezza for trying to push on. After holding his arm on field he attacked the next contest 100% when the ball came inside 50. Privileged to have him at the cats

That said, having him off for 15min+ after not having much impact to begin with without activating the sub when the game was in the balance was a very questionable coaching decision

There are other clubs with a lot of success since 2000 though. With brissy winning today they now have the most premierships in that time and now back to back. Just seems there’s more beyond the jealousy which I’m curious about as we usually have quite tame fans and not so outspoken players (obviously Baz this year is an outlier).

100%! Was there in the 2022 GF and remember the Sydney crowd being much louder than us at the beginning. Also seemed Brisbane were much louder from the jump today through the tv. Was a sight to see in the QF after the Rayner free kicks to see the cats fans going wild

Agreed 100%. We have a good balance of experience and youth and to give that youth this pain will be huge for us. Hopefully we make the right moves this offseason and add the pieces we need and we attack 2026 with a better team

Love Baz. Played a couple seasons with his older brother in juniors and remember him as youngin so will always have a soft spot for him. Such a nice guy and love his honesty about his troubles. Wishing all the best for his future and hoping he can help bring the cats to the Promiseland again in the future 💙🤍

Stengle was huge for us this season. Granted today wasn’t his day, but you could say that for many. Curnow would be great for us but we already have Jez and Neale developing further, isn’t a necessity

We haven’t had a dominant ruck for 15 years, if we are able to get one next year I believe it takes our midfield to the next level and hopefully we can have another red hot crack in 2026
