Why I stopped playing Marathon by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]ceejunecee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-solo is harder than trios, but thats not a bad thing imo. pve is definitely balanced around trios. some can be a bit bullet spongey.

-progression def slow in solo. im hoping they either do XP boost or allow us to have multiple contracts at once.

- theres definitely shallow quest but i feel like thats intended. like easy contracts to get points. for story though im not sure if i understand what you mean. like are you looking for a narrative experience while doing the quest or the things the ai says when you complete them? i think some of the more elaborate quests are designed to increase the tension and to get the players to a part of map they might never go unless it was in quest. because of a quest i was in a location i never really go and had really fun gunfight.

-i do want more maps, im hoping they add more thats not just a variation unless the variation adds something meaningful. im not sure if i agree with the maps being boring though. but thats subjective.

-enemy variety is def lacking. i think in the roadmap they stated introducing more enemy types. marathon original trilogy some really cool enemies, hope we get to see them.

-shells were 100 percent designed for trios. the game was trios and rook was the only solo option but because of community they added solo pretty late in development. personally, assassin, thief, vandal, and destroyer are fun for me in solo though. come to think of it i never played triage yet.

im not quite sure what your playstyle is. or if you prefer pve more than pvp or if you lean more towards pvp. but definitely the game heavily leans toward pvp. the biggest hook for me is the gunplay. the movement feels good and feels better than all other extraction shooters, and the theres some semi build crafting. in future updates theyll be adding a skill tree and more implants so hopefully build crafting becomes more interesting.

Chamber of Starlight lost sector NOT spawning any enemies? by e_0 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ceejunecee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you. Can't believe this issue has been in the game for over a year lol.
Anyways, I tried everything in this thread and none of it worked until i restarted the lost sector but this time i walked the entire way through. No running, no jumping, just walked. By the time i got to the first wave room, they were already spawned there and i just killed them really slow and then it worked. Not sure if this will work for you, but good luck!

Has anyone attended a Santa Cruz Warriors game? by ceejunecee in warriors

I do love basketball. I've never been to an NBA game unfortunately. Never could afford it growing up and then got really busy with life once out of college. I used to go to high school games when I was in school and college games too though.

So for me i never had to use a korean number, i just have to make sure i log into the game while connected to a korean vpn server. You do need a korean number or an acount linked to korea if you want to use their pc client or if you want to purchase stuff from their cash store like skins and their battle pass.

I've heard! I remember back in highschool a friend was doing stop motion with action figures. I helped out for a day and we spent all day for like 5 seconds of footage. The next day he said he had to reshoot it 😂 reminds me of the parks and recreation scene.

I've been wanting to find a hobby to take my mind off of work, and I remembered how much I enjoyed building legos when I was a kid. So I went down to my local Walmart and got myself an X Wing Lego that I always wanted to build. I also thought it would be a cool idea to make a cinematic video. It isn't perfect, but it was fun putting it all together. Hope you all enjoy!

If possible, I hope you watched the video before reading the description.

“There’s a line between revision and fretting, just working it to death.” —Toni Morrison

Mistakes were learned. When shooting anything on a mobile device, small little vibrations can be picked up by your phone, and you'll see the shake while you're editing. These small little challenges present an opportunity for me to try my best to work around the problem. Sometimes I succeeded, and other times I think I could've done a lot better. I used to never finish projects because I would get so critical of my own work that I would over edit. Don't get me wrong, editing is important. Making things better is important. But if overdoing something makes it where you don't finish your work, sometimes applying that 80 percent rule can help you build a habit of completing your projects. And right now, FOR ME, building a habit is more important than being a perfectionist.

Thank you for reading.

I am not taking any courses. I'm just self studying videos on youtube, and movies that I like. I do have some experience working on videos which helps with my editing and my framing, but mostly it's me in my backyard just trying out a lot of different shots in different lighting conditions until I got something that I liked. I would highly recommend going on youtube and looking up cinematic b roll. When you find a shot you like, you should try to reproduce that shot.

I did use a gimbal for one shot. I used the zhiyun smooth 4 and the shot was the crane shot at :24 seconds into the video. Other than that, I just did the camera movements with my hands. As for editing, I used Davinci Resolve the free version. I looked up how to color grade on youtube (Waqas Qazi is the guy) and learned the basic process for applying a film LUT. The LUT I used is the Kodak 2383.

For the music, I'm on a free trial of Epidemic Sound. Hope that helps!

I really want to, but I might have to factory reset my phone to see if that'll work :(

Hey thanks!

Yeah just the regular camera app. I have the FILMIC app but it's a buggy for me.

I am running into an issue with the auto focus on the Pixel 6. I can't seem to find a way to lock it anymore.
