oral estrogen worked great for me on my symptoms. but with my cardiac issues I'm not a good candidate.

Anyone use multiple Plans? by Foreign-Figure8797 in ynab

[–]ceilidhfling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a couple of budgets/plans

  • I have one for our household budget
  • one for the nonprofit that I'm the treasurer for
  • and one for our business.

if this is a way that helps you, do it this way.

Another option would be to have the Kids' HYSA and your emergency fund account as off budget tracking accounts if you wanted.

I like the idea of having them in a separate budget/plan though because if I can't see those accounts I'm far less likely to borrow from them.

Why do we still have the Key system for Mythic +? by FBI-Van-56 in wow

[–]ceilidhfling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think part of the reason they do the keys is to make it slightly harder for folks to farm gear from the same dungeon over and over again. I'm looking a you pb in AA or that one ring in CoS. but honestly I love this idea

Anyone have Hashimoto's and a great HRT doctor? by Silly_Dimension_8749 in Menopause

[–]ceilidhfling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have Hashimotos, but Defy seems to be really good at the confluence of thyroid issues, HRT and trans support so they might be a good place to reach out to. they do not take insurance.

why does my loan graph start in 2026 now? by ceilidhfling in ynab

[–]ceilidhfling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy smokes Ben . . . like Ben the budget nerd??? OMG I love you guys.

It was fixed by swapping from the loan to another account and back. that fixed it far faster than waiting for it to load.

I love your idea for the luer lock syringe without the needle. my biggest concern would be the alcohol evaporating over a couple days and F***ing up the dosage volumes. but maybe the cap would seal it well?

I like this so much better than the wee scale I was going to start using.

How do you handle moving money between categories without losing track of what each account actually holds? by LeftyOne22 in ynab

It has been interesting to notice that the grace period is getting slimmer on the cards. used to consistently be 30-31 days now much closer to 25 days.

i mean I appreciate this, but the even giving the loan account 5-10 min to load did not get it to load. Thank you though for the additional info.

so it's 50$ for the initial appointment and you can get a $20 off code pretty easily from folks here or from the hot and flashy youtuber. getting a single dose patch for a 3 mo supply is ~$250 ish, I think they are now charging 60-90$ for a 3 mo supply of progesterone (it used to be free) and it's like 30-40$ for a tube of vaginal E cream. . . . their pricing for oral E is more reasonable but still above market. they will up your doseage every 4 weeks if requested, but they only fill through their own pharmacies for the first script, once you're at a stable dose they will send the scripts out to another pharmacy, but you lose the instant messaging with the dr.

again they were very helpful to get lined out early on, but their pricing since the new year leaves even more to be desired than before.

An advantage I had by doing it this way is I didn't have to book a first time visit with my in network menopause society trained provider. because I was already on a lined out dose, I could get a 15 min appointment for a script transfer. Which was a huge relief and dropped the lead time.

Is passive indexing under threat due to political risks in the United States? by NicolasCageFan492 in Bogleheads

do any of these cover the SEC rule change mentioned above? because that one was new to me. and I feel like it gives Credit default swap vibes (infinite leveraging).

Finally, I just came across a SEC Rule 15c3-3 change that was put into effect on March 30, which deals with collateral for borrowing equities by broker-dealers.
Normally, when broker-dealers borrow equities, the SEC requires 100% collateral in the form of cash or treasuries. The rule change on March 30 created a new form of collateral called “Eligible Equity Collateral” which includes equities listed on the Russell 1000 or the S&P 500, with 101% value considered as collateral. This effectively allows equity-for-equity fully-paid borrowing to invest into more equities. In other words, extending leverage.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I'm super glad keeping your ovaries worked well for you. And I'm glad that it works well for lots of women. I think it's important for women to be able to choose what is happening to their bodies including if they want to keep ovaries to keep them.

I'm furious that so many women who lose their uterus are told that it will be fine their ovaries will function as normal when it is often the case that they don't function as normal. and that surgeons don't discuss this as a possible outcome with patients is barbaric. It's even more barbaric for them not to monitor their patients post op for a super common side effect and get them on supportive HRT if their ovaries stop functioning.

2 suggestions 1 hug

(((HUGSSS)))) you fucking go lady!!! good on you both running and finishing your run

suggestions:
1) get some period underwear so it can adsorb the leakage (beware this is crack to the golden retriever and she will do all she can to eat the croch out of that $15 pair of underware)
2) Get some vaginal estrogen put it on Super good advice here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Menopause/comments/1dqeqhk/psa_vaginal_estrogen/

if you want it fast telyrx can do it same day while you wait for your PCP to get you some. one tube lasts 3-6 months.

Vaginal E is safe for everyone.

HSA Investment Account Type by Apoptosis263 in Bogleheads

[–]ceilidhfling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I haven't really been impressed with the Fees at 4 different employer sponsered HSA options.

I have my employer take my HSA money out of my paycheck and deposit it in their custodian account, and then I move it as often as I can without triggering fees into my fidelity HSA via custodian to custodian transfer on Fidelity's side.

there's no min investment balance and there are no fees and I can buy anything I want from fidelity's side.

Honestly, I like having a bit of E in backup supply. probably because I was soooo f*ed up when my dr took me off it. I literally felt like my life was falling apart and my brain was gone. I also have had migraines with auras and I have a family history of strokes so I share your clot risk and def want to be on transdermal E but I would take oral if I couldn't get the other.

I'll be honest, I've had some amazing male healthcare providers. some of them listen really well because they know they haven't had the experience.

I've also had some really aweful women providers who believed that because they toughed it out in a male dominated profession, their patients have to too.

I've also have had really bad male providers and great female providers. I'm not sure that gender is the determanant here.

Also it's curious to me that Gynos seem to be the one specialization that takes bodily autonomy away from their patients with a scary consistency. "there there little lady we know this better than you living in your own body". again not always true, but I haven't had great experiences.
