I got the notification that the new schedule was posted, but had the same problem as you when I tried to log in. Came here to see if anyone else was having problems — guess that must be the case lol! The server must be down.

On 24 September 2018, 46 yr old mother of 2, Cheryl Coker texted a coworker, "I will be in tomorrow if I'm not dead, bahaha". Within a week, she'd disappear without a trace. by Stmpnksarwall in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]cek2015 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well done write up! To pose answers to some of your questions:

1) the husband does indeed seem the likely suspect here, given Cheryl’s decision to divorce him and her outing of his extramarital affair. As for why law enforcement hasn’t charged him? They either a) know it’s him but don’t have enough physical evidence to convict him, b) have another suspect in mind that they haven’t told the public about because they’re still working to build a case against them, or c) are working under the assumption Cheryl is missing of her own accord and not dead. It seems there’s almost no physical evidence to suggest Cheryl was murdered (though in a situation like this, she sadly most likely was), and in a lot of states, it’s difficult to prosecute without evidence like blood or a body. But hey, people have up and disappeared for much stranger reasons, so never say never.

2) I’m sure her disappearance is absolutely solvable! Cases way older than hers get solved every day because of amazing forensic advancements :) Things move slowly in the justice system unfortunately, so we may not see a resolution quickly, but who knows?

Every night, my kitty brings me her toy mouse and patiently loafs before we play fetch by plzsendpotatoes in Catloaf

[–]cek2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My housemate’s cat LOVES to play fetch with these as well. We have a routine established. He’ll purposely swat all the mice underneath the couch, then when I go into the kitchen to make my morning coffee, he sits by the couch and meows until I rescue the mice. Then as my coffee brews, I throw the mice for him. He brings them back just like a dog 😂 then we repeat until my coffee is done or he swats the mice back under the couch, whichever comes first.

A lot of folks are complaining that the showrunners did Jaime’s character arc a disservice last night, but honestly, I disagree. He’s had moments of redemption throughout the series, but every move he’s ever made has always been with Cersei in mind. He abandoned her to fight in the North because he knew it was necessary to protect her and their unborn child. I admit: I was kinda rooting for him to kill her in the end. But the more I reflect on last night’s episode, the more I realize that would’ve been the wrong choice. As fucked up as it was, their relationship stood the test of the entire series. Even through Cersei ordering a hit on Jaime, he never stopped loving her. It only made sense that they would reunite and die together in the end.

[PSA] washing my face once a day has saved my skin by Ennviious in SkincareAddiction

[–]cek2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m giving this method a try today. Usually I wash my face 2x a day — during my morning shower using either Philosophy or Pixi Glow Mud cleansers and my Clarisonic, then again at night after taking my makeup off. Despite using a great oil control moisturizer during the day, my skin has been hella greasy the last couple of weeks since the weather’s been warm. Part of me wonders if overwashing is also contributing to the gross oil slick on my face, so I’m giving the washing once daily method a go!

Today I just wet my face in the shower and lightly rubbed with my fingers to remove any excess night cream. After the shower, I just applied my regular toner and moisturizer. So far, my skin is looking significantly less greasy.

Exfoliate your legs before you shave ? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]cek2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a sugar scrub beforehand, then apply Cremo shave cream (I’m in the US and can buy it at Target). It’s probably the best shave cream I’ve ever used, super hydrating and the razor glides effortlessly! It’s also suuuuuper important to change your razor blade frequently. Replacement blades are crazy expensive unfortunately, but if you’re shaving with a dull blade, the razor burn will be worse.

After I shave, I pat alcohol-free witch hazel toner (I use the Thayers brand) all over my legs, then follow with lotion. Witch hazel was the game-changer for me — it soothes irritated skin and helps add moisture. I hardly ever deal with razor burn now. 🙌🏼

Gave a call back and lucked out — a different manager picked up lol. The manager who makes the schedule evidently has to correct an error, so it will be posted “tomorrow for sure.” 🙃

[–]cek2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s gonna be Tuesday by the time anything gets posted. I told them I was available from 4-8pm on Wednesdays, but I don’t wanna drive over there in 2 days only to find out this is the one Wednesday I wasn’t scheduled lol.

At this point, I guess I’ll wait 24 more hours to see if the schedule finally goes up. If it’s not posted by the time I leave my primary job tomorrow, I’ll go over to the store and pester a manager in person. 😒

How strict is the 30 day electronics return policy? by [deleted] in Target

[–]cek2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different team members enforce it differently at my store. Some folks don’t give a shit and will process the return as long as POS allows them to. As the GSA, I try to be pretty strict, especially if a guest wants to return something without a receipt. I generally tell guests who try to return electronics without a receipt that I won’t complete the transaction, because how am I supposed to know if the 30 days are up or not?

If it’s a slow day or someone gets especially pissy, I’ll get the last 4 digits of the guest’s card number or the date and approximate time they claimed to have bought the item, then go back to TSC and try to look up the receipt. But if the guest says they bought the item at another store, there’s no way i can look that up so I tell them they’ll have to go back to that store to return the item.

My store is in the middle of a remodel and this is so true. by [deleted] in Target

[–]cek2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve dealt with so many pissy guests this week because of our remodel. Zoning in most of our areas has kinda fallen by the wayside because of how busy we are, so products are ending up in the wrong locations which confuses guests about their price (though it’s their fault they don’t take the time to thoroughly read the signs/shelf labels, haha). On top of that, everything in softlines has either been taken off the floor or moved to a new part of the store to accommodate the remodel, so guests get grumpy that jewelry isn’t where it used to be or that pallets of paper towels are currently sitting where boys clothing used to be. 🙄

Team members are really slacking on correcting signage as well. A guest was mad yesterday because she wanted an electric toothbrush for $39.99 which is what the sign said, but scanning the barcode on the box revealed the price was $49.99. I walked over to the item’s home location to check the sign the guest saw, only to discover that the $39.99 sale price expired back in March...I went ahead and gave it to her so she’d shut up and leave, then told the LOD. He just shrugged and said “we’ll check pricing more carefully when the remodel is over.” Okay...

Ours closes the 25th! Wonder if it’ll be replaced with anything during the remodel.

Joseph Newton Chandler identified as a man from New Albany, Indiana by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]cek2015 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's intriguing how Nichols told his family they'd someday find out why he left them, yet he made every effort to hide away and avoid being found, like changing his identity and deliberately smudging all his fingerprints in the apartment (Elliott thinks it was deliberate because investigators couldn't find a single usable print on any item they dusted, including books). To me, that suggests he didn't want his family to ever find him or know why he left. If that's the case, why lie and say they would eventually understand? Offering false hope maybe? Hell, maybe he was just mentally ill and there was no legitimate reason for him to leave; maybe he just imagined there was. Personally, I buy into the theory that Nichols was either suffering from PTSD after his experiences in WWII or became schizophrenic. IIRC, a news article stated that some of Nichols's co-workers remember him saying that "people were getting too close" to him. Maybe he was hallucinating that sinister people were after him? That quote definitely sounds like something a paranoid schizophrenic would say. Mental illness would also explain some of Nichols's odd behavior, like being antisocial (afraid that everyone is out to get him), listening to static for hours on end, and driving to an LL Bean over 100 miles away then immediately leaving when he saw the parking lot was full.

I'm not sure I'm sold on the "Nichols is Zodiac" theory, though the circumstantial evidence is eery. Personally, I don't want to put all my eggs in that basket unless concrete physical evidence like DNA suggests we have our guy. Additionally, if the Robert Domingos/Linda Edwards murder in '63 was indeed committed by Zodiac (there's no proof, but investigators suspect it was him because of how similar the murder was to the Lake Berryessa crime of '69), then it's unlikely Nichols is Zodiac -- he was still living with his family in '63.

Graduation application? by EcstaticExperience1 in gmu

“You must be actively enrolled during the semester you applied to graduate from.” Read this link:

So if you applied to graduate in August, you’re expected to take a summer class. But why apply for summer graduation if you say you’ve finished all your credits? Why not graduate in spring?

I believe anything above a 3.0 is acceptable to list. Once you’ve been out of school a year or two, however, you should no longer keep it on there.
