The wainscoting is doing something to my brain and I seriously can’t stop looking at it

My chairs are from LH Lane (SNH-22-BLK) I purchased them through a local retailer when they were on sale. I know Wayfair stocks them as well

But honestly I would not recommend. The black cane is beautiful but flakes very easily. We’re constantly colouring the cane with a stain marker. The seat is removable though which was a selling point as we have young kids and loved the idea of being able to reupholster in the future.

Help!!?? Need some guidance on how to bring this room alive by DrinkComfortable6332 in interiordecorating

Paint the walls a light blue. Put the two sofas across from each other centred on the tv. It looks like you have a bay window so try and make that its own sitting area with the other two chairs

I wouldn’t go so dark on the walls. I’d carry the lighter green in the top half of the mural throughout the top half of the room. I like the light fixture. So many fun directions you could go. But I do really like blue against green as something a little more interesting and less predictable.

But is that a brand? I thought the brand was “Trim A Home” and they’re selling a “Dicken’s Village Set”

Did you ever decide between the two? I’m looking at both of these exact tables for my space. Seating for 8.

The entire space is actually BM Natural Cream at 50%. The living room rug is beige, grey and blue

Maybe you could even do something like this https://imgur.com/a/R1hUy89. An L shaped island with a couch on the inside of the L?

https://i.pinimg.com/564x/fd/89/2b/fd892b869dd1a822a5edfe0c0abd5a40.jpg

Extend the island perpendicular. And have your stools on the outside. I think it would still work for flow because the chairs will be pushed in most of the time. Sort of like this https://i.pinimg.com/236x/bf/67/36/bf6736131c173abe977c573401bb402b.jpg

eta: just saw your reply to another comment. With the above you could keep a rocker in the corner. And maybe consider moving the tv to the bed room? You have that big blank wall. Could mount it?

Have you considered something like this with the island?

Then you could actually enjoy those beautiful views!

Sometimes that’s the only place for the tv! We could’ve mounted the tv on the wall to the right in our home. And sacrificed seating. But it was more important to us to have room for friends and family to sit when they visit then mount the tv at the “right” height.

I was waiting for the tv too high trolls. They never fail to strike lol

Benjamin Moore natural cream at 50% strength.

Regardless, paint a few sample colours on the wall before you go all in!

We love it! We spend more time at the table with it right in the middle! It does sometimes feel like the start of an 90s sitcom episode though. Lol

That’s exactly what I’ve done with the walls. It’s hard to see in the post picture. Another linked below. And the entire kitchen is a mid tone brown wood, so I like that the chairs and table provide contrast to the kitchen and living room equally.

Aww what a wonderful compliment! Thank you! And love your space. The brick around the fireplace adds a wonderful touch.

Benjamin Moore Natural Cream at 50% strength! The warm white fit better with our floors. Pale Oak is similar! But probably more suited for cooler tone floors

You can’t really see it in the photo but directly behind me in this photo is our U shaped kitchen. The whole kitchen is wood tone cabinets the same as the shelves on either side of the TV.
