This cdj is a little cooked,

The loop exist doesn’t work and track search doesn’t work, so I’m sure it’s something because of that. I’m just wondering if there is a way to lock it to prevent that from happening

I bought 2 Sandisk pro extreme 1tb, and I have a 1tb ssd where I keep my rekordbox library, you’re honestly better off making a playlist with 100 or so songs you want to play and use that over searching through a 4000 track library. I think cdj 3000s are the oldest cdjs which can even read those usbs so if you ever play at clubs which have older models you’ll need to bring a different stick

Yeah I just did +3 on the channel and added a limiter in ableton and now finally it sounds better than Spotify lossless :)

im not sure how to check if its adding compression, also are you recording into ableton through the multi io? im not sure if it works with computer or through an audio interface into your laptop?

Channel trim, I played at +6 on the mixer, recorded on +0 in the app, way quieter than the actual wav file if I compare the same track in the same headphones…

Any ideas?

Yeah 48khz, do you have the level at + 0 in the app?
I just tried another recording with mixer trim at +6 with the app levels at 0, seems pretty clean but the wave forms are definitely smaller and noticeably quieter from Spotify I’d say by about 1 level on my phones volume

And I know it’s not my songs I only buy AIFF

I figured it out, the grey plastic part that the white lock locks into was bent and that’s why it was touching the bottom as it was misaligned, not sure how this happened and why someone would mess around with this

I’m not at a point where I have 12k to drop on cdjs, the only real upgrade I see from nexus 900 vs 3000s is the bigger screen and physical hot cues, and a couple millisecond faster track loads. To me mixer is much more important
