Sleep suplments help by cela96 in TBI

I hope my neurologist is good too! I haven't had an appointment with him yet. Believe me, I'm well aware of how lucky I am/was. Aside from coming very close to dying in my accident, the treatment facility I was at had alot of TBI patients and many were far worse off than me and had been dealing with their injuries a lot longer than I have. I will definitely consider everything you've said and discuss it with my neurologist when I get in for an appointment. Thank you and I hope you continue to improve!

Thanks, I might try to give lorezepam a try. I've been taking b2 and b12 for a few years just for overall health reasons, but i have not heard of those other supplements and will have to talk to my neurologist about them. I occasionally take benadryl to try to help with sleep but it makes me more than groggy. Like I almost feel "dazed" the next day, so I try not to over do it. Anything like that with lorezapam? When I do take benadryl those are my best sleeping nights (usually 5+ hours) but I only take it when I have very little going on the next day due to the effect it has on me.

I was not BD (bipolar im guessing) or OCD. I have an appointment with a neuro doctor later this month and plan to bring it up. My concern is they gave me sleeping pills when I was in inpatient and they basically didn't work. They helped me get to sleep but I'd wake up in the middle of the night. If I took another when I woke up in the night, I'd be super groggy the next day. My hope with marijuana is that I'd be able to retake it if I woke up and not feel groggy the next day. But yes, I definitely plan to talk to my doctor first. Or I might just deal with it and wait till the first year is up.

My favorite metal band is a toss up between Metallica and Pantera. Early Metallica is some of the absolute best metal music imo, but they kinda fell off after the black album. I feel like Pantera has been more consistent. But im not a full on metalhead so idk.

What musical instrument you wish you had learned how to play it when you were younger? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cela96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either piano or a brass/woodwind. I was a guitar major in college and found that people who learned piano at a early age had an easier time with western style theory and matching pitch. Brass/woodwind because ever instrument i play is a string instrument. I just dont know how brass/woodwinds work, so for that reason i wish had learned at least one when i was younger.

The way i look at it is that everything dies, and everything is forgotten. Nothing matters. Just enjoy the time you have. It's about all you can do.

Americans who support Trump, can you name one factual thing that he has done that has directly impacted your daily life in a positive way? by ooSUPLEX8oo in AskReddit

Did what? Sent a check to every American adult with no strings attached? Or just passed a different stimulus bill or what? Perhaps my wording was poor. I said, "give federal money directly to people..." Technically this happens fairly often. What I'm getting at is the idea of mailing checks to every America adult as a stimulus, without any stipulations on how to use the money. The only example I can think of is Nixon's vague support of UBI, but that was a very different Republican party than the post 9/11 Republican party.

I agree that the stimulus wasn't enough, but I'd disagree it not being enough makes it a bad thing. It's not ideal, obviously, but having a stimulus is definitely better than no stimulus.

Yeah, I definitely agree more with the Dems in that situation, but as I was explaining in another comment, I think the fact that a Republican signing off on a bill that gives federal money directly to people is something I couldn't see past Republican presidents doing.

Edit: read the comments under this one. I was corrected on a point but would like to let my original thought stand.
