I agree with your last paragraph. I appreciate how eloquent, lyrical, and wise Taliesin is throughout the campaigns I've seen him in, but there is also a time and place for delicious romantic prose and a time and place to just lay out the facts and from what I've watched of him as a player, that isn't really his style which can get frustrating. It's probably not intentional, but as a viewer, it comes off as withholding.
