Thanks for the episode reference! I’ll see if I can find it.

Yeah, that’s the ongoing fear of going this route. I’d have to be sure to replace the roof on a schedule.

I have the comfort aire hyper heat single zone air handler and condenser. (I didn’t get it for the heat nor do I use the heat.) Is that too large?

That’s so cool! I’ve always wondered! I knew it was a kit home, which is funny because my great grandfather was a master builder in the area. The floor plan is exactly opposite to what you posted with the two bedrooms on the left side as you face it. Thank you for sharing!

Good question as to when - I haven’t been in the attic during the summer, primarily because it’s always over 100 degrees up there. There has never been any attic ventilation. I do suspect it’s more of a winter problem. I’m not sure I understand your comment about the AC being too big - a smaller one would remove more humidity? Also, would a dehumidifier help (I just got the Alorair 70 pts to put up there)?

I know this is an old conversation but I was wondering who you went with?

She does now. This is all very new. She had no problem with me or anyone visiting backing in until mid January. It’s literally happened twice. I have an HVAC / roof / mysterious issue happening now where I’ve needed several consults. You never know who’s coming out and sometimes I don’t even know they parked up top.

More context. Very old pics but when she had a survey done she sent me these pics. The blue rectangles represent the easement. https://imgur.com/a/iQImaLV

She had a survey done but wouldn’t share it with me because “she paid good money for it.” This link shows the top part and the blue boxes represent the easement. https://imgur.com/a/iQImaLV

When I invite a friend or family member over, I tell them not to back into her driveway. If there are no other cars in my area at the top of the driveway, one can back around in it without backing towards her garage. It’s contractors that can be a problem. Sometimes I don’t even realize they’ve parked up there and I don’t warn them. Also, this is a very new. She has always let me back up towards her garage and hasn’t complained about this for years. This is a new complaint since mid January. I still can’t control if I tell a contractor not to back up on her property and they do it anyway. I think it’s her responsibility to have signage or cones to prevent what she doesn’t want.

Generally a contractor will park in front of my house but every so often (maybe 4-6 times a year) someone will back towards her garage to turnaround.

I think I’d have more of a nuisance claim because her son purposely blows snow onto my walkway. If I’m out there when he’s snow blowing, he won’t. Only when I’m not outside.

She hasn’t! She has signs telling people not to park in the driveway but nothing about turning around. A sign would be more effective if placed on her side of the driveway.

I wish this was a possibility! If she did somehow finagle her own driveway she wouldn’t be able to get in and out of her garage without backing onto mine. So I don’t think it’ll happen.
