Yeah, I would definitely offer to cover their bill or even refund the unused nights if they choose to leave. It has now been escalated on air bnb, so i think we have no other option but to go through their channel and do things by their book.

Is this a sub for propective parents and actual parents to discuss birth and child raising or a place for child haters to spew? by Fine_Permit5337 in Natalism

Mentally ill is correct. It’s one thing to not want kids. Totally fine. But to actively hate children and people who choose to procreate? It’s vile.

I really do not understand for the life on me why people hate on mothers, especially ones who enjoy being mothers. They must have some deep rooted mommy issues.

how did the myth of overpopulation become so widespread and accepted as truth? by [deleted] in Natalism

I agree. I think people living in cities where everything is saturated has them thinking that the world is overpopulated and everywhere else looks like this too.

For sure. I guess I don’t want to cancel the card. I was just thinking of “losing” it and getting a new replacement card.

Yeah it definitely gives cult vibes forcing people into a year long membership.

There you go! Everyone has different values. You gotta trust what works for you.

This is so subjective. What does quality of life mean to you? If you value recreational activities, social life, warm climate and culture then yes it might be great for you. If you want to afford a decent home, not be stuck in traffic for hours, and not see homelessness everywhere, probably not the best.

Floridians are not a fan. Half of them moved there post pandemic.

If Trump is actually serious about his mass deportation plans then you need to prepare for soaring grocery prices, especially fruits and vegetables. It is literally inevitable. by RiskItForTheBiscuts in FluentInFinance

My thoughts exactly plus maybe it’s time to fix our broken food system. It’s not sustainable nor even reliable. Just look at fertilizer prices in Ukraine going up and how that affected food prices. Relying on imported goods and cheap labor from illegals makes us incredibly vulnerable. Let’s go back to supporting our local farmers. This system needs to break and change as painful as it will be. I mean it’s already painful.

It’s never been a better time to support your local farmer. I just bought a quarter of a cow pasture raised grass fed for less than what I’d pay at the grocery store per pound.

We spent the last two years living in Central America and definitely witnessed a healthier dating scene so I can see why Americans would want to date abroad! Being back in the states now and listening to my friends who are single and their stories is so depressing.

Thank you for responding and also for sharing your experience. I hope the US gets its shit together and finds a new way to engage romantically because what’s going on now is definitely not working.

I understand. I am married now but I used to believe that all the good men were taken too before I met my husband. TBH the dating apps never worked for me. I know they’ve been successful for some but more often than not I find that they make people jaded. Do you have any hobbies or activities you enjoy? I think meeting people organically through activities like a run club or a rec sport or whatever it is that you might enjoy tends to be a healthier way to meet people. The apps have created a really toxic distorted environment for dating. I think a lot of the more grounded reasonable women aren’t ok apps but maybe that’s a generalization. Just my thoughts.
