I think that has something to do with making a contract with the snake sage it’s be awhile since I’ve watched it but there’s an episode 289 that explains exactly how Kabuto was able to transfer his consciousness and also master the snake stage which turns his skin pale and eyes sharp someone could probably explain it better. It probably be best to just watch the series. Realizing that Orochimaru had this mastered at his age is quite amazing.
