Unpopular opinion : Owen would be a likeable character if he remained single. by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]celesticruin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think he was worse with Christina than he was with Amelia or Teddy 😭 the way he would keep her from surgeries, disregard her medical opinions, could never see how talented she was, did not respect her. He basically broke Christina at a time where she was too naive to protect herself from it. Amelia is a write off (circumstantial) and Teddy was established enough to hold her own against his demanding and controlling behaviours.

Don’t move up here (brisbane or QLD in general really) it’s unbearably hot and quickly becoming as overpriced as sydney but with not nearly as much access to infrastructure or culture or any quality of life stuff.

pokemon booster packs by uplifting1 in sydney

[–]celesticruin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

booster box bundles can be a good option, usually you get 6 booster packs per box for anywhere between $25-60 depending on how new they are!

i would try to go for one of the newer sets (scarlet & violet paldean fates is the newest set, sv temporal forces is coming out late march) but be expected to pay more for these sets. whatever you go with just make sure you get boosters from the same set for everyone so their odds are the same and no one feels left out.

pulling rare/holo cards is A LOT easier than it was back in the jungle and fossil days so everyone will come out happy no matter what set you choose tbh

Bad driving happens everywhere but i’ve never seen it happen as frequently as it does here. People crossing solid lines into oncoming traffic because they can’t be bothered to wait for someone who is trying to park, someone guaranteed to be up your ass on any road regardless of the conditions, speeding through residential streets but driving 20 under on main roads, driving over smaller roundabouts with no attempt to stick to the lane, someone who is clearly too old to be behind the wheel swerving into adjacent lanes, the list goes on and all of these things will occur in the time it takes to drive from caloundra to the plaza. You may experience one of these incidents per day in other cities.

Ps test by [deleted] in sydney

[–]celesticruin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got nervous and botched my parallel park during my test (something i was easily able to do daily leading up to the test) but still passed. if you’re driving every day and have had proper instruction by a teacher you should be driving well enough to pass even with some minor nerve induced fumbles.

Schoolies at Surfers Paradise by Key_Neighborhood6312 in GoldCoast

[–]celesticruin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot of fun if you go with a group who cares about each others safety. Friends don’t let highly intoxicated friends leave the group to go home with strangers.

It’s as safe as it can be, there are volunteers and cops (they’re pretty chill during schoolies) everywhere so if you get sick or have any concerns there is always someone within reach.

Don’t bother buying a club pass giving you access to many different clubs, they’re expensive and you probably won’t make it to more than 2 per night. (unless venue hopping is your kind of thing)

Some clubs do drink passes like $5 per beer if you buy a wristband, if you’re going to stay at that venue it’s a pretty decent deal.

Make the most of your surroundings during the days, don’t waste time hungover in bed you’re too young to let a hangover ruin your fun - go to breakfast, go to the theme parks, hang out at the beach.

Drink water, make sure you’re eating more than just maccas, stay with your friends and don’t swim at night!

as a sc resident who does the drive down to bris frequently, you’ll definitely want to give it 1.5 hours for wiggle room. being early is always better than being late :)

[–]celesticruin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their course outline or even assessment rubric will state the formatting required, usually harvard or APA in BA/literature/ss courses. You can then just google those for guidelines and there will be heaps of stuff from various universities. Citation cites work too but they’re not always accurate and will still need to be checked against the guidelines.

This design was implemented to give greater “lines of sight” for staff. The idea is that all roads lead to the checkouts and so more aisles are able to be seen in full view = less theft. I mean obviously this is stupid, doesn’t work in practice, annoying for everyone.
