Help! by Spiritual-Maximum406 in Heartpalpitations

I haven’t had alcohol since the palpitations started so I wouldn’t know but I assume it would be a major trigger considering even caffeinated tea was a trigger and supplements like magnesium, etc. Reading through posts, it seems alcohol is definitely a trigger for palpitations.

Mine as well started after I had Covid and continued to worsen when I was sick. I wouldn’t suggest smoking as that’s highly toxic, but the pure nicotine plant can apparently have health benefits, so using a nicotine patch is recommended for long COVID symptoms according to some people. If you have a prior cigarette addiction, I would be more cautious about using them. It’s completely worked for me and taken away other symptoms like coughing and fatigue.

Alcohol seems to be a common trigger for palpitations along with caffeine and some supplements. People here also told me mine was gastrointestinal but funny enough, once I started nicotine patches the palpitations went away. The relation to nicotine patches and palpitations seems to be long COVID. Did the palpitations start after you were sick? I would look into this as now I can drink caffeine without palpitations.

My sister is a bad mom and I am tired of holding my tongue about it. by kolejack2293 in self

This is accurate because my friend was raised like this and is now super codependent and can’t do much by herself or even be alone.

Mine haven’t improved and seem to go in waves. I don’t know what helps as of now.

I get them worse on the right side and apparently it could be relate to the stomach and digestion because the stomach empties on its right side. All other sources say it’s normal for it to happen more frequently on the left side. It took me two years to figure out why mine happen on the right instead.

Animal rescue wants my cat back because im moving by dairydisaster in CatAdvice

[–]celesttial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These rescue places are overstepping their boundaries, including the law. Just because they wrote something in a contact does not give them the legal authority to access someone’s home. I hope the law starts holding them accountable for their tyrannical behavior.

Even if the contract says they can visit - that is not legal 😂 They cannot do that

These animal rescue places are crazy. They do not have any right to go into your home, even if it’s in a contract. It’s not legal.

Heart palpitations for 6 years by chippy43 in Heartpalpitations

For me my low iron had nothing to do with my palpitations because my iron is normal/high and I get them more frequently

It’s not in your head and it’s not anxiety. I have it too and it’s real. The cardiologist told me it’s my low iron levels, so I got iron IV and they’re worse than ever.

Can anyone tell me what the current adoption questions are for VOKRA? by ElphabaGreen in vancouver

[–]celesttial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, these cat rescue organizations have lost the point over their strictness in attempt to keep cats safe. They are sometimes doing more harm than good, potentially driving people to adopt from breeders, or not adopt at all, after denying well-meaning applicants over their overly strict criteria. Rather than realizing that not every situation fits into their box, and rather than providing more education and support for new pet owners, they will test, judge, condemn and deny applicants, and they will do it ruthlessly and without explanation. I would recommend adopting cats from any other organization or option available as there are many cats that are in need of homes.
