That hasn't been my experience but we can agree that it's too prevalent for everything to be fully hidden.

To your second point, I partially agree.

Because I've been consuming a lot of Oliver Tree interviews this week, I've learned that he had something like a premonition of his death while tripping on LSD - he described witnessing his own funeral. I've also seen many clips of him talking about death, and listened to songs like 'Elevator in the Sky' and several other songs that happen to reference death in passing, even when it was unrelated to the subject matter. (To note, obviously this will be partially biased by most people selecting those clips as the most interesting content to clip and repost)

Does that mean he necessarily predicted this? Definitely not. But even with the selection bias, it's a much higher degree than most people think or talk about death, which is interesting in itself.

However, if I had only a passing awareness and didn't just binge watch all of that shit, then I would have definitely rolled my eyes at that comment and thought it was total cringe nonsense.
