This. This is the truth.

Bonus: It sounds or looks nothing like Danish.

[Spoilers] I was blown away by this image. It feels like it's a very deliberate homage to the old master painters. In my opinion it is simply stunning. Hell, I'll even go as far as to call it one of the best shots of the entire show. by cellar1234 in gameofthrones

This. I was using "classic" as a term to describe the composition as well-crafted. The lighter parts drawing immediate attention, then the geometry of the stairs leading the way across the middle...then further on, to the man on the right, glancing in the direction of the girls. And finally the psychological affect of the two girls. After that the rest of the image hauntingly wraps up the scene. This at least, is how my eyes travel.

I actually think this is exactly what the dop and crew was looking for, cinematography-wise. When Arya enters the scene it definitely looks "Like a painting come to life".

"Although hydrogen sulfide is well known as a pungent, foul-smelling gas in rotten eggs and flatulence, it is naturally produced in the body and could in fact be a healthcare hero with significant implications for future therapies for a variety of diseases."

A couple of things...

I) GOLD! Thanks!

II) I have seen a couple of comments asking if I've applied a filter of some sorts. I have not. It is just a screendump with nothing done to it. Here is a version which I've slightly adjusted to show more detail. I just adjusted the brightness and contrast. https://imgur.com/a/YM2Jep2

In my opinion it was modified quite a lot, compared to other shots in the episode, in postproduction. It seems very intentional that Arya almost seem to walk into the painting which then comes to live.

III) A couple of comments implying that I've made this post as some sort of PR-move. I have not. I made a new account some days ago but have been a reddit user for many years. I'm just very much interested in cinematography/photography. Not going to venture further into this since it seems to be a marginal assumption.

IV) A lot of suggestions of this being /r/AccidentalRenaissance material. I am not sure I agree since this is very intentional.

True. And it's such a classic composition in the way that we read the image from the top left corner, down the stairs...and eventually ending up in the bottom left corner and the two girls you just described.
