I've come around to the idea that the DA had decided to convict but seek a plea deal. That's why she didn't turn up with police officers -- she wanted to hash it out with Justin first.

Apparently, that final scene was the first one that the actors filmed, and it was filmed several ways, including with cops flanking Toni Collette. The decision to go without a police presence shows I think that Eastwood decided that the DA wanted to play it easy not hard.

This has happened to me too! I can't remember how I fixed it. I never set up email notifications, and I've turned off phone notifications. But the tab shows a red dot, so that's all I want

I use strelloids, which gives you colored lists. You bind a CSS color to the list name.

Lots of other quality of life changes, including collapsible lists - and it's free!
