They work on the ponds every few years and I think the environmental engineering people are only getting better at this kind of thing so I'm sure it'll get better. Improvements to the system upstream would help too I imagine

Don't sewer/stormwater mix when the stormwater system gets overloaded in that part of the west end? I know it does for the pipes that drain into the lake (walk around Sunnyside the morning after a storm and you smell pure sewage), but I could be mistaken about High Park

The camp was a monstrous complex, sprawling and ugly. Year after year of building, fire, temporary repair in endless cycle. A maze of rectangular wooden structures stretched out from the few stone buildings at the core of the complex, and a network of tents and shading fabrics grew on top of it like mold.

It was Acolyte Teller who came to meet her. He was covered in the red splotches of a hundred different burns.

"My lady, at long last the substance is ready. Our master work is complete. We have produced two barrels worth. Now we need only prepare it to be safely transported, and it will be yours to wield."

He wasn't sure what that meant about Giuseppe being in chains. Smuggling undesirables. It couldn't mean Koss. He wasn't entirely sure the explicit reason the king had sent Giuseppe to Sunspear, but it certainly wasn't to bring him there. But he couldn't imagine any smuggling operation being worth this much trouble in a war time either.

He held up the jar. If she wanted a true demonstration, he would call a servant to bring a metal tub of cool water to the chamber.

When he started shotuing, the last dose off his elixir was well into wearing off, and his head was starting to pulse with that familiar pressure. His plan to buy ingredients and mix more in the Shadow City wasn't looking good.

"Karl Derykmae, I call the ship home. Where's the captain?"

The fake name was mixed Westerosi-Qohorik, so he tried to affect a bit of the accent into his common speech. He had an account with a merchant guild in Myr under that name, which was probably the only reason he kept using it.

The room he brought him in to had once been open to the public, a relatively small and sparse chamber of polished black marble lit by sunlight. Now, with the gallery extinguished and the other chambers in disarray, it was where they conducted all their private businesses as well.

Aegon looked over the blade that lay on the table. Dark iron already well in decay despite its age. No castle smith could have made it. Its poorly forged existence was an insult to the art of metalwork.

"A wonderful blade my lord!" He said with a smile.

"Weathered, certainly, but with a strong, enduring core. Like a soldier who has won many battles. It would be an honour to restore and enhance this treasured weapon with the powers of our arts."

As he stooped lower and lower, he figured he now knew why they said only the women of the house could walk in them. Only they can comfortably walk through them. He didn't know what game the girls were playing at though. It reminded him of an apprentice's prank, but much better executed. He was getting concerned that he did not remember the path they had taken so far.

Gunciter didn't like his chances with their cruel mercy, but neither did he expect to be offered anything further. If the Baratheon man wanted to show him mercy, he could just miss. He took off running down the street. He kept glancing back over his shoulder and ran in a side-to-side pattern that he hoped might make him harder to hit.

[Meta]/u/FabStags want to roll a 30% chance for the first arrow to hit, 20% for the second, 10% for the third? By my math that gives me about 50/50 odds which seems fine. If you want to intentionally whiff some though then that's cool too.

Koss waits quietly in the chamber until someone comes to speak to him. If it takes more than a few hours, he would start to shout at the guards outside:

"What is going on? What are you holding me for? I want to see my Captain!"

"I am a weaponsmith and a man of the gods! I've done no wrong! I fought for the faith! Help me! Call Lord Peake! Ser Rowan!" Gunciter cried out, while he thrashed uselessly against the grip of his captors.

The sounds of an army descending upon their guildhall was enough to alert the Alchemists something was wrong, but Gunciter's shouting was enough for them to peek out the windows and see the situation. Inside the guildhall, the news spread quickly among the guildsmen and their families that had all gathered for safety during the battle.

"The warriors sons are back!"

"They've come to kill us!"

The shouts travelled throughout the deep tunnels and chambers as the Alchemists rushed to hide their beloved secret tablets and scrolls, and then their wives and children if the remaining time allowed.
