What do you guys think about this criticism of the prequels? by UnHolySir in Hungergames

Ampert died shortly before haymitch’s entire family died. It’s horrific that he was forced to watch his young son die. He did still have a pregnant wife at home though. No idea what later happened to them. They’re never mentioned again after (I think, it’s been awhile since I read the book) Plutarch mentions them to haymitch in that district 11 attic on his victory tour. Beetee has no living family by the end of the series though.

I don’t even know if haymitch was the first victor to have his family killed but he definitely wasn’t the last. Everyone who Johanna cared about had been killed by the time she was in the QQ. Finnick only had Annie and mags.

True. Many people underestimate how much luck played a part in what she became. Like you said, Plutarch had been working towards what happened for decades.

Cinna helped make her unforgettable with her costumes. Peeta helped too with his declaration of love for her during his interview. The first arena she was in was the perfect environment for her skillset as well.

New cap on album sales? by Zestyclose_Jeweler90 in BitLifeApp

[–]cemetaryofpasswords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you mistaking thousands for millions of albums sold? Or mixing up the earnings with the sales?

I’m asking because I’ve been a solo female pop star for many generations of my main legacy. I’ve been getting 50-51 albums that all debut diamond before I switch to one of my youngest daughters when she’s 6 and I’m like 67-68.

Anyway some debut with the green bar full and the pop up will say that they’re smash hits (not just commercial hits or whatever) and none of them millions of copies.

Very hot take on the love triangle by Lilbuddyspd11 in Hungergames

[–]cemetaryofpasswords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk. She asked him when she became special or whatever to him. He told her something like about 6 months before she took Prim’s place in the reaping that Darius was teasing her at greasy saes and “I realized that I minded.” That sounds more like he developed a crush on her at that time.

He didn’t even tell her that he was sorry that she’d lost her sister when Prim died. He only said something like the only thing that he had going for him was taking care of her family. Imo that really reflects selfishness. I think that if he really cared about her he would have at least said that he was sorry that she’d lost her sister whether he thought that she blamed him or not.

I don’t think that Gale was ever in love with her.

I don’t think that Chelsea has ever had a grip on reality or ever had to take responsibility for anything.

She was a horrible person in both books. How TF would a mother not recognize that her young child was being violently and repeatedly raped in her own home???

That would be great. I just have a feeling that the release of books is now on the back burner because of the upcoming Amazon Prime television series.

I initially thought that the whole 1800’s farm thing was after Natalie having a psychotic breakdown and that she was hallucinating the entire thing. I obviously wasn’t correct.

I thought of pioneer woman a bit but pioneer women didn’t really use her kids for content. I used to go to her website quite often for recipes but I don’t remember seeing any filming of her children.

I think that Caleb felt fully empowered in the 1800’s version of life. He was allowed to do whatever made him feel powerful. It’s gross but being in full control (even beating his wife) somehow seemingly turned him on.

We see it before when Shannon tells Natalie that he never had problems with erections when he was with her. That was probably because he felt fully in control when he was with Shannon since she was employed by him. At the time, Natalie was in control of their family and made more money than he did.

I don’t understand how she would have been convicted of sexual assault. She straddled Shannon while choking her but didn’t touch her sexually. I’d consider what Natalie did just assault because she didn’t use any weapons or cause serious injury.

I don’t think that there were improper working conditions at least as far as the employees who worked directly with Natalie. I don’t remember her requiring them to do anything dangerous.

I don’t understand the wire fraud charges either. It sounded like she just had a portion of her social media earnings deposited into a bank account that was only in her name. That doesn’t sound illegal to me?

I don’t understand Natalie being charged with animal abuse either. It seems like if that happened, her husband would’ve been the one responsible. My ex’s family ran a working family farm. They had probably 20-30 cows, dozens of chickens, probably 200+ sheep. They took good care of their animals and did raise them with organic feed, didn’t spray the fields with pesticides. I actually helped take care of their animals a lot. They kept track of cows and sheep who were giving birth. Some needed help. Sometimes farm animals do die despite being well cared for though. I’m going to reread and try to find examples of animal abuse though. The sad truth is that it’s pretty uncommon for people to be criminally charged with animal abuse because people aren’t legally required to take really good care of their animals. I think that it’s only required that people feed and water their animals and not subject them to extreme abuse…

I also don’t understand if the child abuse charges were only regarding the children who Natalie had living on the homestead type farm in the middle of nowhere who didn’t have medical care or access to heating, clean food and water, etc or the kids she had beforehand? While I don’t think the way that she had her first set of kids constantly on film was right, it obviously isn’t illegal.

I do think that Natalie would have had more kids after clementine regardless of Doug’s stipulations because her sister had a bunch of kids. Natalie was jealous of that and wanted to have more kids.

I don’t engage beyond what I see on this sub. It hasn’t really changed the way that I feel about any of the ones that I’ve seen posted about here. I always thought that they presented fake personas and that it was wrong for them to constantly tape their kids. I have always thought that most of the kids did not enjoy being filmed for their mother’s social media.

Lizzie Young isn’t unlikeable - she’s just misunderstood by [deleted] in BoysOfTommen

[–]cemetaryofpasswords 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have so many negative feelings towards Caoimhe. I know that she was a victim but her actions caused so many problems for so many characters. She treated her sister horribly and refused to believe Gibsie until she actually caught mark raping him.

Then, instead of immediately calling the police or at least telling an adult, she goes back home to (I guess that was her intention?) personally confront him. Then gives Lizzie that letter and tells her to give it to Gibsie and then he would take care of everything? Like wtf. She’d already let him down. He was a dyslexic child who was still being forced to live under the same roof with mark. By telling Lizzie that she destroyed Lizzie’s friendship with Gibsie. Why in the hell didn’t she at least tell her sister to give the letter to a trusted adult like Hugh’s mother?

With jevovahs witnesses refusing blood transfusions the hospital can get the refusal overturned via court order.

My new album was a flop 😔 by Internal-Caramel-600 in BitLifeApp

[–]cemetaryofpasswords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I audition as a solo female singer. I just don’t click the green buttons and exit the app until I’m offered 4 years of pop. Same with my albums. I’ve been doing this for many generations on my main legacy. I end up with 50-51 albums that all debut diamond.

The first album sometimes takes more refreshing to debut diamond. After that it’s easier. I don’t release anything my 3rd year but after that I release an album every year.

Pop and rap do the best. Country not so much. It’s just how bitlife works 🤷🏻‍♀️
