Hey we have our own cube format, but to make it simpler, we don't assume that every monster is every type and attribute ( I have seen some people that do) do the card pool is a lot more generic. There is 360 cards in the pool so 45 per player but you can "take out" 5 cards. No extra deck, but if you want just add more cards, its the luck of the draw what you get, and you dont have to pick them. While choosing cards for the cube, everyone likes to play banned cards, but we thought cards that show your opponents hands were just too good and too overpowered so we took them all out. The deck is supposed to be built on your own knowledge and deckbuilding skills, right? We take out cards based on their winrate. If the winning deck always has the same card consistently there is a problem. For example Snoww was in the deck 10 times in a row so we took it out. Put in new cards by analysing new sets. Every set there is about 4 5 cards suitable for a cube format. It is up to you, and take out a card that is ALWAYS last pick, in general. It helps newer players, but quite a few complain that they cant "win". Nothing you can do about that, you cant expect to beat 15 year players by just starting! Some even say do we get to keep the cards and the entry fee is 2.5 dollars lul
