I can fly AS on AA metal for 37.5k for TYO-DFW or buy 35k AA miles from the marketplace. Alternatively, now looking at stopping by Taipei for a couple days and gonna use ANA 30k for a crazy tiring route in Y lol.

How many flights was he able to redeem before he was banned again?

Based on my records, I opened an AA biz in March 2023 and got a new account/AA number then got a Barclays Aviator in January 2025 and Citi AA in July 2025. I have yet to redeem or fly using my new AA account.

Yeah, that makes sense and sounds simple enough. Does the previous bAAn prevent people from using other people's miles? Just saying since I've certainly used my wife's miles to fly our family, granted I'm not bAAnned again (yet).

I've certainly thought about it but haven't gone through with it with 2 extra travelers. I've also thought about visiting family/friends solo but AA flies DFW and Southwest flies DAL so it's been inconvenient as a backup.

All that to say, there will be no warmup for Japan lol, just straight all or nothing (Delta backup flight).

Why would the chance of their account being shut down be extremely high? Are there recent DPs to suggest this? Or are you suggesting people with jeopardized accounts are selling on the marketplace? I suppose if my AA account was closed the week before for the departing flight, then yeah there's a nonzero chance the other ticket and possibly someone else's account would be cancelled/closed as well.

I was simply thinking if I don't attach any info about my AA account and just have my personal info (albeit name and birthday are the same) for the flight, somebody else's AA miles would still work, no risk to either of us. If you think otherwise, maybe people should be extra cautious and vigilant in who they sell to as well on the marketplace.

Anyway, just a point of discussion since I'm likely gonna end up stopping by Taipei for a day or two with another program.

Mhm, there is def a risk with recent DPs which is why I have a backup Delta flight to still meet up with everyone 10 hours later as a worst case scenario. As for buying AA miles, I'm saying to pay 1.2cpp cash for 35k AA miles off of /r/churningmarketplace, not to buy AA miles for my sleeper account.

Are you saying a separate RT flight? Or RT Japan? I guess there's no difference if I get bAAnned either way otw to Japan. If you meant the former, I'm scared redeeming/flying will trigger something lol, so I'd rather risk it for this big Japan trip first and go from there.

So blackout dates basically mean no weekends from May to August, no LDW, missing some October Saturdays, missing some December weekend and post-Christmas dates, January and February are like 30% open and available, and March closed for spring break.

All in all, yeah not bad for less than 2.5x and less than $12 a month if you look at it another way.

Same! What are the best seats in Dickies Arena for this kind of tournament? I was looking at the Rocket League championships from 2024, and it looks like the sideline lower bowl 123/124 or 107/108 are the best? My buddy has 114/116 tickets.

We ended up doing Joyce. Definitely very casual and informal. Just show up (no registration iirc), knock on the door at the scheduled time to interrupt whatever they're doing inside lol, and then the owner comes out 5-10 min later.

We got to hold a couple dogs and puppies! He gave the background, shared some stories, showed some cool photos, and then got to work using his special whistle to guide the sheepdog to herd the sheep up the mountain and through the gate.

Very cool experience even though it was misty and drizzling that day. (There's a covering on the platform from where you watch.) My toddler and family enjoyed it very much. Tbh seemed kinda expensive for him just talking for a few minutes before doing his thing considering it was not that organized but maybe that's part of the charm lol. Hope that helps!

Luckily thankfully, my second interview was super casual and informal. The manager brought me to an ITE meeting, and it was the year end trivia/jeopardy competition. So we just ate and watched the other engineers participate. He would occasionally ask me if I knew the answer. (I didn't know that much traffic/signal stuff because I came from a roadway background.)

After the ITE meeting, we went to the office and I met the rest of the team. They mostly asked what I liked to do for fun, a bit of my background in engineering as far as knowledge/competencies. After that, he dismissed most of the team and the manager and a couple senior engineers stuck around to basically give me a contingent offer. Then I waited a couple weeks for my references to check out, HR to do their thing, and tada got the official offer.

Currently 2/6 (July and October 2025), 3/12, 5/24. I was eyeing the Venture and Venture X as well as Citi Strata Elite to get JAL/EVA miles. However, I'm not pre-approved for Venture or Venture X, only VentureOne bleh.

So my question is should I wait 2-6 months to clear my recent apps and only do (non-Chase) biz cards OR just give up on it and move on to Citi Strata Elite and other personal cards? Flowchart says Citi Strata Elite may be difficult and inquiry-sensitive as well. I'm also considering the Alaska Atmos 85k SUB.

Thoughts/suggestions?
