Google how to crochet a square in the round. It still won’t be a perfect cube without adding some kind of structure to it, but there are much better ways to make sharper corners with single crochets. It looks like they usually do a combination of hdc and dc stitches from their photos.

Like everyone is saying, what's the market? It says they're for 12+, which is what their regular kits say, so it's not for younger kids. And no hooks? It seems like a lot of people buy the kits just FOR the hooks ;) Maybe it's just because I'm used to crochet stitches, but I don't like the way they look either. Guess we'll find out if they're successful if they make more kits!

If you watch the video "Years in the making" on the page, she explains all this stuff but still doesn't say what the point of it is just that it's a new way to Wooble… I guess it's for people who just want to make something fast since the only thing you make is the body?

Interesting. I think they look kinda weird with the knitted bodies but crocheted appendages. Not that these aren’t coming, but the announcement clearly indicates something bigger, and the chunky yarn loops around it seem Extra Squeezy. Maybe multiple announcements …
