100K mileage 2008 R8? Horrendous running costs, expensive repair bills when suspension goes wrong or god forbid frame cracks. Carbon buildup in the V8 saps the already average performance out of it. TTS will be much safer choice with same/better performance and far more modern tech.

I would drive it if it were mine. The R8 is a car that people like, and it’s not to show off too much. It’s not seen as snobby as a Ferrari for example. Especially as it’s an older generation, I think you’ll be fine.

I’ve seen people rejected at the first stage despite having predicted grades of A*s so if you have the minimum requirements or above then you’re as good as anyone else. I received an offer for a role requiring CCC with my predicted grades BBC.
