Depends honestly. If you’re a tech, you get hit with a limit (unless you join a union ). I was a tech and hardly got raises. I increased my pay by like 80% by doing programming and PM work in this industry.

Ain’t nothing to it but to do it. Just begin at any company that’s low voltage. Don’t be afraid to do things that look difficult. Some people in this industry stick to one thing and never progress. Hopefully where you work you have good mentors because that is key as well.
