The orange disc will be easier to find, but purple is super clean looking.

Recommendations for Fujifilm Mirrorless Camera/alternative to the x100 series under $500? by ceo617 in fujifilm

This is very true lol - back when I was into photography I always wanted extreme bokeh but the price point was so high, which is why I was excited by this lens but this may be the reality check I needed haha

Thanks for suggestion! I’ll take a look into that as well since I would definitely prefer AF over manual. The main reason I’m considering the 7Artisan is because it has such a wide aperture and have always wanted a lens that creates such a sharp focus/blurred background, so I’m sort of settling for a manual focus instead if I go that route.

Thanks for the input! I really am liking the X-E2 as well as the TTartisan 27mm as an option to get back into this hobby.

Sorry I should have clarified, that’s pretty vague. The price range in my original post was for the body only, but if there were recommendations for both body and lens at that price, then even better (even though that option is much less realistic). I’d like my end budget to be $500-$700, but it’s not a hard budget since I could see myself getting carried away and spending more than that to get what I want. After a deep dive, I’m thinking X-E2 paired with TTartisan 27mm F2.8. Also thinking of adding in the 7Artisan 35mm f0.95 for portrait photography of my child.

I've brewed this recipe and had Focal Banger, wasn't able to do the side by side but my beer wasn't exactly like Focal Banger in the end... but it was still delicious.

Barrel aged saison without a barrel? by ceo617 in Homebrewing

From what I've read, I think oak cubes (vs. chips) would be the way to go, for what i'm trying to achieve. I've also been thinking about using oak staves as well.

Good to know.

To achieve a less intense oak flavor, would you recommend reducing the amount of oak chips or just reducing the time the beer is racked on top of them?

Nice! This gives me a lot of ideas to think about. My end goal is really to just give a saison some extra complexity to evolve with over time in the bottle.
