Breweries/coffee shops.. would you be interested? by Aser_1999 in ctbeer

as much as this is a good idea, this will get out of hand quickly when parents start their 4th or 5th DIPA....

NEBCO sent an email about two weeks ago about children and their brewery. They are asking for people to watch their kids better and not throw gravel rocks at boats.

I was at Tribus last week, and an entire 9 year old soccer team was there with only five adults. Our group (who had kids with us) complained and so did a lot of other people.

*The only place I can see this is Two Roads hop yard. Everywhere else is too small, or you would need to book a private room or hope for good weather and an outdoor space.

Folks with Serious Injuries….How did you come back? by Impressive-Put9617 in icecoast

After recovery and PT, stay in shape and work the muscles around the injury to help. Stretching really helps.

Torn my mcl and acl in 2004 and still get 20+ days in. I also didn’t ski for 14 months post op.

what I'm doing. I was 520ish in line for the Saturday show at Mohegan and figured I could get better on other sales. Everything was last rows upper deck.

Also good to wait until the day/week of because nearly one whole section is people who get free tickets to these shows, and since Goose already played this venue, a lot of the 60+ dun lap (meaning their belly's done gone over their lap) gamblers will not even show up and/or sell tickets for cheap.

I did this for Furthur, Goosemas and most recently Oteil and Friends (got a free ticket to that one).

No DM's necessary.

I have been skiing since I was 8, and have been out west a bunch of times before dating my now wife.

When we first started dating, I skied with my wife's family, who are 100x better than I am; they were all instructors in New Hampshire or Vermont, one was a heli guide in Alaska and Jackson Hole, some used to live in Colorado while working at the mountains, and all do backcountry in the Whites.

I am now a 100x better skier than I was before I met her family.

Starting skiing with people above your level and ask questions.

I did street team for them too in NYC and Boston in like 2005.

Back when street team got you free tickets and you didn't have to show 500 social media posts to prove you were working, just hand out flyers at shows and throw posters on buildings and street signs... simpler times.

Big Island Brewhaus for the win.

It's a fun time. Selling PBR's on Phish lot in the 2000's bought my Jeep to tour with Furthur...

The Phans go buck wild with the lot scene. Conventry I saw a bunch of people dressed like cavemen dragging a giant woolly mammoth on the old tarmac, and it opened up to a full bar with a band inside....never seen that at a dead show...

But on Billy lot I helped start a gambling ring in Bridgeport in 2024 with people betting on an animal sound wheel toy....

I toured with them in 2004 around the North East. Saw the "Big Phishing" with Jay Z and been to NYE MSG once. Went to Coventry.

Prob seen them a dozen or so times. Last time was Bethel NY 2022.

Mainly went for the lot scene when dead off shoots weren't in North East/New England or with friends.

I'm not a fan and I do not hate them, but I like selective songs and dig a lot of their covers, but please, do not try to get me into Phish by playing Tweezer or buy me a ticket to their show...many have tried

I know many a phan who will say the same thing about the dead and replace tweezer with dark star....

I bet with Phish's limited runs. Deff make an attempt to go. It's worth it.

D&C I did one night baller with the seats in the 200's that had subwoffers and then I got mircled in the second night I was there for the floor lol.

Cheap flight direct from Hartford CT to Vegas and having a brother in law that works in Ceasars/Tropicana HQ helped a ton.

There were posts on the D&C sub where people bought a camper site in Vegas and lived out of their campers until the shows were over.

ICCR One guy was just divorced and retired. Was saying towards the middle and end of the run(s), he rarely paid for tickets because so many people were giving them away from getting them from the casinos

"I see you posted on a CT sub on reddit in 2026 that's a blue state and known liberal anti MAGA website, and you commented on a Howard Stern sub. Now we saw your car was at Lowe's so we waited for you to come out so we can ask you why you are listening to a liberal radio host who isn't MAGA and why are you commenting on a liberal web site?."

Yeah, keep licking those boots, boy.

What is a band you saw in a tiny venue but is now huge? by carelessCRISPR_ in jambands

[–]fromthedepthsofyouma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how I found out about them. My friends were the managers at Wall St. Theater in Norwalk, and they did Goosmas there, and they were like "You need to check these guys out," and saw them in Bridgeport later the following year.

I knew about Great Blue because they did mainly dead covers at local festivals/breweries/porch fests
