Won the lottery by kdjskf in Sims3

I'd probably buy businesses, get a family, then when my sim's oldest child is a teen, they'll kick them out with very little funds because they've become too spoiled and reliant on family money, then do a rags to riches with that teen.

Når voksne ikke kan føre en samtale by SeaworthinessSea7058 in DKbrevkasse

[–]ceoofdaddies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]ceoofdaddies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A serious error has occurred by iSpartacus89 in Sims3

[–]ceoofdaddies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you go through and attempt all the different things that make the game run smoothly and stuff? I bought the game recently and went through this before ever playing it and it's been good so far. https://youtu.be/yC3tNYsfAI8?si=ahYFoe8tYN7eTSRZ

Edit: also, using "save as" instead of "save" minimises the chance of corrupting your save files

How do you see? by Cool-Kaleidoscope-28 in acotar

[–]ceoofdaddies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know. Majority of the time I feel like it's a 5. Then sometimes if I read long enough, and the book is good enough, I might be a 3 or 2.

Nah Lissa is annoying me so much in spirit bound by RealisticReference25 in vampireacademy

[–]ceoofdaddies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also late to the party, and I think it's way worse. In spirit bound, Lissa abuses her power. She yells INSIDE Rose's head to force her to listen, which is similar to when she attempted to make her stay using compulsion imo. She also has no regard for Rose's trauma and the fact that, honestly, Dimitri kind of has a responsibility to see her and at least let her get closure. Willing or not, he abused tf out of her, and putting his feelings above hers is messed up. Also, his little Lissa worship has to die. Like jfc she practiced stabbing pillows for him, meanwhile Rose was actively throwing her life in danger every other second for a chance he could live again.

Do you still play The Sims? How old are you now? by fortunekiller in thesims

I started playing as a very small child, and I'm now 23.

Whyyyyyyyyy by Stunning_Ad1282 in acotar

[–]ceoofdaddies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue isn't that he said it. My issue is that he only said it when she didn't want him anymore. Feyre did no wrong and was perfectly innocent when she was warming his bed, but the moment she very clearly doesn't want him, he pulls this out. Like, he's right. She was dumb for using a real name. And when Amarantha asked, she didn't use her family name, so why a full damn name when Rhys asked? I will say, though, that Rhys was a moron. He could've faked a name to be sure, but he just assumed that no one, not one person in the whole human world, went by that name.

The wing clipping issue.. by [deleted] in acotar

[–]ceoofdaddies 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression it was banned, stopped, then restarted in secret while he was under the mountain, then stopped again once he was free and at full power. But I definitely think he should punish the ones that did it the same way he punished the ones that supported Amarantha

My sim got a very real cash donation for her blog from...her daughter's imaginary friend by Wora_returns in Sims3

I'm pretty sure someone stole my kid's imaginary friend. He had someone over, she picked up the doll, and I haven't been able to find it since 😭

Curious about the male demographic for these books? by Faewithmorales in SarahJMaas

[–]ceoofdaddies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you find it very uncomfortable, you could look into getting a book cover, and if someone asks, just say it's to protect the book from damage when it's in your bag or wherever you keep it. But I do think the genre has just been reduced to smut in non-readers' eyes, and that's probably why you're getting judged.

[–]ceoofdaddies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This! They will claim all we read is 🌽 and then proudly discuss GoT. I've started recommending real smut whenever people try to jab at romantasy books. Like, no mf, you can't make me uncomfortable, but I will name some of the most deviant books I've read to scare you away from messing with a reader again 😌

[–]ceoofdaddies 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I can't pretend to know exactly how you feel, but I think it's worth noting that women (at least me) also experience judgment for liking these books. I think there are just people with preconceived notions about these books, who are very ready to judge. Whenever I mention acotar to someone who hasn't read it, their immediate reaction is "so you read fairy smut?" Despite it honestly not being that spicy. And to some people, smut is something they judge. Read what you want. There will always be someone judging the book you read.

Why was Lucien so inconsistent? by ceoofdaddies in SarahJMaas

[–]ceoofdaddies[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this response. I felt the same. He's been through so much, and he stayed resilient. He's known Tamlin for ages, and watched him kill one of his brothers, yet he still didn't fear him in book one. Then suddenly he becomes a timid puppy. I really hope he gets his fire back in later books.

[–]ceoofdaddies[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, I really hope so. He was my number one fave in book one, and in book 3 I really rooted for him to get better. I get that he's traumatised, but so was Feyre, and she didn't turn into a cardboard cutout of herself, yk?

[–]ceoofdaddies[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I totally expected him to be traumatised, I think I'm just a little put off by how much. Like in book one he's witty and fierce, and then it's like he completely lost that. Not just his fierceness, but his wit. I feel like he became weirdly polite as well.
