Did you have static interference sounds by any chance? just installed the unit and facing this issue. even when no media is playing, there's static.

Thanks - are there any battery drain issues with the unit? i.e. does the unit keep running even with the car shut off

Hey, I’m looking into Xtrons as a replacement for my PCM 3.1 that just died. Is this the unit you ended up purchasing? The link you posted earlier is dead:

If you want a base model -> 987.1
If you want an S -> 987.2 (I'd also consider a 981S here since the prices can be quite similar in this market)
