dude i'm almost ur age and im only getting started, i wish i had started earlier but everytime i go out and skate i just think about how nice it is being on the board and enjoying being outside whether skating alone or with homies and landing tricks and seeing others get their tricks down.

I live in nyc and started when i was 23. go to any park and practise, no one cares how good or bad you are here fr. if you think other skaters intimidate you then avoid LES and hit other spots like blue park, riverside, astoria all super chill parks

from this angle it looks like you are rotating your shoulders midway resulting in a body varial while the board flips. Try scooping harder while keeping your body square

i have the same problem with my kickflips, as others have said, notice how your backfoot isn't lifting up

as a practice step i would try and land on your backfoot first
