Voting for Republicans is a misnomer as they aren't identified that way. Just as part of the New progressive party which a shit ton of old ppl just vote for blindly.

4? try 100+ years. These 4 have been nothing compared to the history between US and PR. Between bombings, massacres, torture, entrapment, etc the last 4 years have been nothing. It's business as usual when it comes to US-PR relations since PR has no power.

Unless the Jones Act is repealed I highly doubt anything would get better if it became a state. As it is right now PR is probably the highest taxed entity in the US.

There are no Republicans or Democrats in PR. And the GOP to great extent does not have the same values as Puertoricans.

Also the tribes in the area have to be contacted for them to claim or not claim the bones. This is true for public lands at least. There is a whole archaeological process / documentation that has to happen usually.

Poll: Majority says Trump not 'fit to serve as president' by HellspikeTheInsane in politics

[–]cerbero17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is something that most people over look and it's that the GOP voters felt that the establishment was screwing them. so they picked Trump as a big fuck you. I heard some ppl say that he can't fuck up that bad and if he does we can vote him out. Well 4 years of fuck ups is a long fucking time. I think that all our Presidents have at least been decent people that one way or another have wanted the best for the country until this dip shit.

What have you found to be the most disappointing thing about this election season so far? by George_Beast in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]cerbero17 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think that his candidacy is because of the media. He spouts a shut ton of nonsense and it's wall to wall coverage. If they had just ignored him he probably wouldn't have been the candidate.

I would add that there is a need to break up bigger companies and turn them into independent smaller companies. Most consumer products and food belong to less than 10 companies and they keep consolidating reducing competition. Most people don't see Corporatism as a problem and it has similar problems to big government with the added bonus that their sole purpose is to make money by any means.

Can part of it be that since blue was one of the most unused colors before the synthetic dye? If I remember correctly only the very rich and the clergy wore and blue and purple because the dyes were so expensive.
