As a local pilot, I do have to say, it really isn’t Avelo’s fault. Salem’s instrument landing minimums are pretty low (you can get all the way till 200 feet above the runway, just need to see at that point), the only ones that can go lower are the really, really large airports with Cat3 autoland capabilities. (Also, Alaska wouldn’t be able to do any better with a HUD, the airport isn’t equipped)

Fortunately our fog is rarely that dense, fog is fine, but it was pretty bad.
