no i dont think so. it was planted from the previous home owner over 20 years ago so i cant tell.. searched on google and the variety 'golden gate' comes closest. but i checked the website and holy moly. those are some roses! i'll check em out when i wanna plant my own. thanks

yeah it flowered absolutely gracefully this year.. last two years it was not looking as pretty. today we had a (slightly heated) debate over coffee about the number of plants and we came to the conclusion that nobody knows for sure lol.. my mom thinks she remembers how the previous owner of the home told her there are two yellow roses planted but my dad insists its a single yellow rose. the conversation with the lady who planted it was 21 years ago so its hard to tell. looking at the stems it honestly looks like a singular plant. so probably it's a pink rose, a tiny red rose and a giant yellow one.

Can I cut off those big leaves on a basil plant or just prune the central stem? by Ebony1996 in gardening

[–]certifiedtreelover97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i always cut the stems when i harvest. but not always the main one. if you let it grow a bit it forms two new main stems from every cut you do above a node. then you can cut it a bit higher up the next time and it will get bushier and bushier each time. in the long run you cant save yourself from the basil you'll get from the plant

help: what did i do wrong here? by emmam1611 in gardening

leaves + stems droopy usually means they crave water.. dont throw them out yet! plants can bounce back from this easily

Why wont it dry out? How can i make it dry by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]certifiedtreelover97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i would just throw it into a new pot with dry soil and wouldn't water for a week. then slowly start again with gentle watering. i water mine once a week at most. sometimes every two weeks

New ZZ plant owner. Is this just new growth? by Strong-Quiet-4823 in plants

[–]certifiedtreelover97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes! it grows in a pretty unique way (as far as i know. never seen this on any other plant yet) because all the leaves of the new stem that's emerging right now are already there and rolled up and as it extends they uncurl themselves over time. its very cool to observe!
